Do you guys think the 15th anni. 710xx uses the same 17oz fabric as the 500's? If so I'm thinking of holding off getting some 710's until the next lot because I would prefer a much more irregular fabric like BrownMetallic's LOT9 500's.

710xx 15th anniversary uses 19oz, while 500xx uses 15oz.

PBJ xx007 have more irregular texture going on in theirs if thats what you are going for.

I have soaked it for about an hour now, did a quick measurement and waist have gone from 15" to about 14". Hem 7.5" and inseam around 35"

Bradl, that shot looks nice and hairy but doesn't appear to be heavy on the slub. Would you say thats pretty consistent throughout the denim?

2nd has pretty big stocks, if I'm not mistaken. Some old models are floating around on their (not too fancy) website.

You could ask them. It's tricky but it works. Did this with a pair of Lot.12 S5000VX I bought from them as a back-up pair. Wanted to make sure they have the ones with old arcs.

I got my 710's back from Railcar this morning. I'm extremely pleased with their alterations. It fits so much better now. They even threw in a free t-shirt and some goodies too.

Recently got my 500xx back from railcar...went same size as my flathead 3009, but they were 1-2 sizes too big...they didn't fantastic job ( unfortunately no tshirt etc for me)

Let them dry and soak again in warm water with some agitation.

yes. Lot.12 had old arcs, Lot.13N had the new arcs in black on all pairs

I would say if you are pleased now, then wear. if you want a more fitted fit now, then soak again

I just want to take out most (if its possible) of the shrinkage out before i start wearing em.

Dont want to have significant shrinkage later when the combs and whiskers are starting to appear >_<

^Most of the shrinkage had already been taken care of on the initial soak. Any residual shrinkage left @this point won't impact the fade pattern/whiskers/combs anymore

Im kinda worried that i didnt use warm enough water to take out the shrinkage during the first soak - or am i just being paranoid? Lol.

Just got the 553xx jacket from 2nd. Everything fit nicely, except the sleeves are a tad too short. The fit looks almost like this:

Are there any way i could stretch the sleeves? Since i doubt 2nd would accept exchanges.

you can do it in the current state but it is said, that damp/wet denim is easier to stretch
