Which '66 are you enquiring about?

'The Real Basic' 66 - ref 50110015 from the regular line-up (e.g 'new' Denime, as in the company), or the 'New' 66 - ref 50100075?

The 50100075, are the ones I'm talking about. On the blueowl site, they waist measures 34.5 inches on a size 30 with a shrinkage of 1-2 inches. Can I possibly expect 2-3 inches? Edited April 14, 2014 by noobedloser

They're holding up amazingly well, i only had to reinforce the top button hole twice and some of the other buttonholes.

Just this week i noticed a thread on the crotch unraveling a bit, but nothing serious yet.

After reading that flasher I wondered if it is really true that Denime (the old ones) were really made out of organic cotton. Would be cool though

Well it does say so on the flasher, and the Japanese are usually pretty honest in their discriptions, so i'm assuming it is organic.

 

Then again, for example some Joe McCoy jeans say Illinois on the patch, but i highly doubt they were made in Illinois...

You would assume so. But then one could mention the denim woven by old "levi's looms" like Yamane said and the "Made in the US" like the first Samurai jeans had on the patch...

Maybe it is only a metaphorical way of saying "very natural cotton" has been used

And you would have to size up to a 40" inseam, if that flasher would be accurate.

Originally I didn't want to post these (as it can be quite boring for others when we hoarders/collectors post new jeans every week...  ) Anyway, I was bored and they are just beautiful and unique jeans.

 

Denime Tokyo Edition

These jeans are similar to the '66 cut and also feature the same details. The denim is different to the XX-line (Naoto said they are finer woven, less rough). They were only available in the Tokyo based Denime store. No phone orders or internet orders were possible, so really hard to come by. Scored them off Yahoo Auction in BNWT condition and they are from the Shins-era.

 

 

 

 

 

And the post-soak fit. The denim gets really crunchy after the soak. Lots of starch in 'em. Soaked them twice

@hog:

they have an (of course) more modern fit, more taper. Denim is in the same weight range. Both denims are really starchy/crunchy after soak which is really nice.

They shrank from 35" so they were a bit over tag size

...the obvious problem...

 

oh that is Waldhaus...a beer from small brewery in Souther Germany (Black Forest region). A lot better than all that standard beer you can buy here. It's non-filtered, more natural
