Just got my order in from End - J1B/S14-BR/P17-S. Really happy with it all - the sweat is so insanely soft and luxurious...I had a BR-C1 before but had forgotten what they were like as new. 

 

The P17 silhouette is a bit new for me so should be interesting (my girlfriend already wants to leave me).

It's still really nice - I've got to the point where I've washed it loads and its faded ever so slightly with a bit of shrinkage but I still live in the thing and got my moneys worth 10 times over. They say they get better with age and use - it looks a bit worn but not tired which I think is the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to grab anything in this material. If I had been hand washing it and super careful it may have looked more immaculate but I've just been tossing it in the machine and getting on with it. Definitely the most comfortable sweatshirts I have ever had!

So i got my parcel today from End. I've literally had half an hour to try stuff on over lunch so these are just initial thoughts.

 

P10-DS. Wow. I've already got or had P10-S, P10-E and P10-CH but these are crazy in DS. I literally felt like i didn't have trousers on, the stretch works so well on these it's insane, they're like a second skin. I struggle with the P10-S because they're a fairly unforgiving fit - if I don't wear them with a belt, the button usually pops open when i sit down. Not so with the DS. That said, the drape didn't look or feel as good as on the DS, but like i say, these are very early impressions.

 

S15-DS. I'm just not sure yet, it might grow on me. Great layering piece for sure, longer than i thought it would be for some reason, but lovely material. It felt like i should have sized down on it but don't know if that would have looked too small. I'm on the fence with it for some reason, a bit more wear might make my mind up for me. Bit gutted i didn't get the S8-DS instead and it's sold out in my size now. Ah well.

 

S16-WS. Great idea but the cut just doesn't work on me at all. It's a real strange one, you feel like you're wearing something quite unique but at the same time, i felt like i was wearing the world's most expensive dustbin bag. It's definitely not for everyone, i'm sure some people will love it, but i'm sending mine back I'm afraid.

 

LA6-DS. I'm a big fan of Acr shirting, they're a great fit for my frame. The LA6 doesn't disappoint, the zip makes it very much a hybrid shirt/jacket, works well layered, less formally open or more formally closed. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about the collar but i really like it after trying it on. It's a keeper for me.

Unfortunately my J54-LP forcelockæ on both pockets are forcedæ out. The buttons went straight through the fabric leaving a perfect circle. The upper side of the pockets, female side of the buttons,is reinforced with a full grain ribbon. Imho the male would also need such a ribbon to prevent this. Pics to show what I mean. I will send them for repair and will ask if they can reinforce it. Someone from ACR gave me a link to the repair form but it's not online anymore. Anyone has it or the correct link?

So the p10-ds and the s15-ds don't have the same fabric?

The color is different (less black for the tee) on the pics and different elastane composition according to the specs.

It felt fine on it's own, although it certainly is a strange/unusual material to wear as a t-shirt. I really don't know how it would hold up on a hot day, my gut feeling is you'd get sweaty but I don't know how Windstopper hold up in that situation. Maybe someone who has the LA5-WS can tell us? And if they have one in Large, maybe sell it to me?

How small does the S16-WS fold up? Can you really comfortably stick it in a pocket?

thought the same thing about the p10-ds from last spring summer, though i tried on a size that was one size smaller than what i usually take. the fabric has a lot of stretch, but the drape isn't as nice as the p10-s, which to your point is unforgiving in terms of fit. i actually think the p10's cut in the top block could be done better because there's too much camel toe action. haha. 

 

i got the p20-s, j1b in raf green, and the 3a-3 bag. the p20's are really cool. the s fabric on these are actually better than the p17 and p10's that i have as they're much sturdier and i think thicker. i like the fit and it kind of reminds me of what aitor throup might do with trousers that didn't cost $2k. there's a hidden zipper detail in the pockets of the pants that i really liked that aren't apparent in the photos. the fit photos on the ACR site don't do the pants justice, imo.

 

the j1b is also cool. all of my acronym jackets are in black and this is the first one i got in raf green so it's a bit getting used to. the color on this jacket in the gabardine appears to take the dye differently and i THINK the raf green color is more drab, which i like. the chest pockets aren't as practical as my other acronym jackets as i like to have easy access to stow away my phone quickly. fabric feels a little different than last year's j29-s - seems a bit softer to the hand.

 

the bag i haven't taken out and looked at it yet, but i'm sure it's cool. haha. now to find the modular companion bags. 

 

lastly, regarding the j44 in the goretex fabric, i feel like that the paclite version is superior [i own the paclite version and have only seen photos of the new version]. the paclite version appears to have more structure in comparison, which i believe was pointed out, and more importantly the silver zipper is more striking than the black zipper. they should've kept the silver zipper on the new one unless it was too heavy for the fabric.

LA3-WS was not that great for warm weather, it got stuffy and clamy very quickly. It worked best during cool nights and temp ranges from ~10-22 C but YMMV.

Anybody have their P20 yet?

I was at Haven yesterday and was able to try them on. Super cool, I loved them actually. Just want to know how they are after a full day of wearing them, the knee articulation seemed like it might not be the most comfortable thing in the world.

 

They were super nice though; the fit was near perfect for what they are, I hope to see more renditions of them in future seasons.

being american (born of asian descent) i have a lot of things to say about danii's remarks, but i'm not here for that.

 

we are all here because in some shape or form, we are aesthetically (+emotionally), intellectually, and physically drawn to the same thing. we all have differences in opinions, and at the end of the day it is subjective. there is a common bond between us despite the color of our skin, or the languages we speak. what original program has done is quite amazing if you think about it. i agree, i don't like every photo, and at the end of the day, it is a man curating a feed of images, and we have the privilege of being able to double tap and afford these artifacts. we are a creative and intelligent community, why can't we come together and generate something positive (create your own submissions and/or posts), as opposed to sitting back and flicking your thumb all day on a digital interface? ;D

DS is generally easier to breathe in but like Errolson said.... it's not fire resistant Also DS may fray quicker. Naturally with characteristics like no stretch or stretch they will sit differently as well.

Thanks for looking at what I'm trying to do here with this feed. And actually being constructive about it v1984! All I've ever tried to do is push the envelope. And think of fantastical fits to normal ones to crazy outlandish ones. Everyone has their own taste. I see that the SF crew which happen to be a group mostly American (born of Asian descent) is actually putting work in to meet, photograph, and compose images given our free time. That's all it ever was. And trying to curate it in an artistic way. So, submit some substance if you want to appreciate, hate, critique, whichever. Enjoy, or you don't have to follow. Like right now there is only one left-wing football club i know in UA "Arsenal-Kiyv".

 

So SI patch were almost a marker for trouble, till maybe 2004, not so much anymore.

A lot of local brands with tech aspiration or inspired by acrnm, si etc are made by guys who were active on derbies and liked to fight on matches.

They are older, more mature now, no fighting people on the streets.

But still can secretly draw SS in their prints just for fun and lols etc.
