"Golden Spike” work coat
Indigo wabash stripe

Couldn’t find a 44 online so contacted John Lofgren who linked me to Tomomi at Speedway. Excellent communication and service.
It’s my first Freewheelers piece - loving it!

Has Freewheelers ever made a 46 model before? If not it looks like they are now: http://freewheelers.co.jp/blog/archives/24059
Google translate says this will be the same denim and cut as the 47, but will have mustard yellow stitching and buffalo check flannel pocket bags and seemingly more wonky stitching.
Haven't seen any other photos so not sure what they will look like yet.

The ‘46 is a new idea - previous were ‘39, ‘43, ‘47 & ‘51

I suppose for someone who missed out on the ‘43 then perhaps it’s a good thing

Personally, I’m waiting on some earlier reproductions/interpretations - early ‘20s perhaps ...

I'd also be very interested in a '46, especially if the Warehouse competition didn't end up going through. I generally like most war-time details, and don't currently own any pairs. Would go for a '43, but really do prefer having coin pocket rivets. To my v. unexperienced (as far as reproductions go) eye, the '46 seems like a good middle-ground.

Meanwhile: Anyone have sizing advice for the Hipsters Reunion 666MJ? Wavering between 42 and 44 without much to really go on. Always wanted a Wrangler jacket to match my old Cane's.

@Duke Mantee how would you compare the fit and denim between the 43 and 47?

Very similar - the ‘47 has a more pronounced waist (so more hip flare ... although that’s accurate and disappears over wear/time); and the ‘43 tapers a little bit more in the leg (not much though)

The ‘43 is a darker and the ‘47 a little bit more coarse - again though you really need to see both side by side. The differences aren’t easy to pick up by photos

Thanks for the info, hard to imagine that the 47 tapers less than the 43 as my 43s are pretty wide. I think it's accentuated by the fact that they're a few inches too long still.
Don't mind hip flare, like the recent conversations about the historical accuracy to the 47 cut.
