Just picked these up. Pretty fantastic jeans and remarkably accurate for an unofficial Lee-pro. High waist, slightly fitted top block, full legs, very slightly tapered to around a 9.5 in hem on size 34. Hairy and inky but not super starchy or stiff 14.5 oz RH twill. Quality seems on par As you can see pretty close to stich for stich to the Lee Archives version of the 1936 Cowboy 101b. It was impossible to resist these pockets. So good. Fugazi Union tag in back pocket. Clever lot number. 36101 B15 points

Searching the internet tonight I came across this site which I thought was Redcast Heritage, but then after noticing what appeared to be some 'too good to be true' discounts, I examined the URL which reads www.redcastheritageco.com rather than https://redcastheritage.com I hope no one here got scammed. Frankly I was right on the verge of ordering a couple of things before it became apparent that something was amiss. I've sent an email to the real Redcast Heritage. What a pain in the ass for them. The internet is a crazy place.5 points

Happy for you Austin. It's quite an adventure -- unlike jeans, doesn't fade with time.3 points

@Geeman yes it is. He is getting slower these days. Acceptable for being 80+ years old 😅 His Instagram is managed by his daughter but i don't know how much she is really involved in the shop. Edit: his blogs says he will be selling again starting from January 3rd1 point

Of course. I totally agree with you on this. I’m not saying that living organisms are ML algorithms or LLMs. I’m only saying that, in its base form, the learning algorithm of both is somewhat similar.1 point

Hey, new user here (finally).. Anyone have the new XX 54 cut and any fade examples of the new XX denim? Considering in securing a pair of the new XX models, although with a wider straight fitting pair. Also, I hear they're releasing a WW2 model too with a different denim? Any idea when will it be released? Thanks! 😬1 point

You can argue this. I would argue that no matter the similarity there a fundamental difference in what happens that makes the comparison an unrealistic leap of logic.1 point

This was my experience too. W31 was a good fit in the 47s, but I found I needed to size up to W32 in the RBs and 51s (which I believe are the same cut) for the top block to be comfortable. I’m sure it depends on one’s body shape (I think my thighs are quite big in relation to my waist).1 point

Here’s something that has been going through my mind. Since a ‘return’ as it seems to SuFu I’ve tried to avoid the rep system as it’s been just a bit too close to comfort for two things that I hate elsewhere, facebook likes and instagram replies using just emojis - in both cases where the emoji or ‘like’ has taken the place of that user actually being able to string together a sentence. in turn this is sadly part of what I see as the demise of the internet, as the old message boards became forums, these traditional forums then having given way to facebook groups, and then facebook groups dying out as people gave up talking to each other and were able to ‘communicate’ (if that’s what it’s called) with virals, ‘shorts’ gifs and strings of emojis and whatever other nonsense that has eroded the use of vocabulary that now instead dominates the net. So I’ve tried to avoid using ‘rep’ here too, which has put me in an awkward space of appearing to have ignored or not acknowledged some replies as conversation moves on and it would break continuity. I don’t think there’s really an answer, so instead I think this is more me ruminating out loud, bit like the ageing git that I am 😅 (shit, I’ve used another emoticon again 🙄)1 point

Really kicking myself that I didn't pick up the 220A's while BEARS still had my size in stock. Didn't think I'd have enough time before the WOMCON/WOMBAT but the extra month with the contest delay would've worked out 🥲 Looking at the 220XX-47 now too, @Alec Leamas appreciate your updates! Can't believe how far they've come alone in three months1 point

Hi Grant, Paul and Dr Heech , I haven't posted here in quite a while. Good to see some familiar names still around. I sold some of my LVC but still have a lot. I sold my 1911 333s a while back. I see LVC has done a 1910 333. I still have my rare 1905 209 coveralls, Paul, I have a pair of 1880 waist overalls. Only mine have sewn on buttons, denim pockets, centered leather patch and I think it is called mock felled inseams. (not finished on the inside). A pair of 1922 ragtop. 1901s. 1920 201s. A pair of 1947s and 1955s USA cone denim. 2 pairs of 1933s both cone denim. New Japanese made 1937s I also have a 1953 type II (also made in Japan). I'll take and post some photos if anyone is interested. Cheers, Allen1 point

@smoothsailor it has been a real life changer for me. I was quite a heavy drinker and didn’t like that being the image my kids saw daily from me. Also I didn’t realize until I quit how much I was using it to self medicate and take the edge off daily situations or to deal with heavy stress of family gatherings.1 point

These arrived for me yesterday. They’re the s0001xx model from Rockets - WW2 with denim pocket bags. I like the look and feel so far and am hoping to wash and hang dry (need to minimize inseam shrinkage) before my in-laws come for Christmas. Here are the pre-wash measurements, some photos (not my greatest work), and some pre-wash fit pics. The darker blue colors are most accurate it’s really grey and snowy here and I didn’t have time to bring out my real camera setup. I will update fit and measurements once washed waist (laid flat and not aligned): 16.75”/42.5 cm front rise: 12.25”/31 cm thigh (at crotch seam): 13”/33 cm leg opening: 9.2”/23 cm inseam: 35”/89 cm1 point
