@rodeo bill Thanks! Yeah, that was an attempted cyanotype exposure—Prussian blue, in Tender Co. language??—on a very old cotton handkerchief. We were working with a pretty limited setup at the cabin and the batch pictured there didn’t actually turn out…oh well Here are some long-time wall hangings made with the same recipe, though: jasmine + household trinkets on old selvedged cotton muslin12 points

I have the newer model Buzz sweat in olive and I don’t rate it at all. I’ve had it for about 9 or 10 years I think and it’s relegated to slobbing around the house wear. It’s too thin and shapeless, it just hangs, and is way inferior to my Deluxewear sweats and the older style Buzz ones. I bought a size L but should probably have bought M and it would fit better - I based sizing off their old models which came up smaller. I wouldn’t buy another, even heavily discounted as there are many better alternatives.3 points

@super-thermite nice! Your patch is nicer than mine. Mine is blank. I removed the suspender buttons after two years of struggle and never looked back. They’re really nice jeans. They evolve really good imo. I think it’s about time someone opened a Moto thread. side note - I don’t think freewheelers carry anything remotely similar in width. wearing said jeans, yesterday2 points

So this happened last week... Went outside with the dogs & saw this on the neighboring property. No one lives there but the people had come to mow the perimeter (required by law). Likely their mower blade hit a rock & sparked (apparently they had some remote controlled device). Could also have been an electrical spark. Luckily the wind was blowing away from us although we had all the pets in our vehicles ready to go. Fire crews arrived promptly, all by road rather than air although a plane did fly over to observe at one point. There is a house on the property which was spared. They lost two junk trailers which the fire crews kept a close eye on. The wind took the fire across to another property where no structures were damaged but much of the land was blackened. Once the trailers had burned down the crews made sure all hot spots were extinguished This was a second spot where I could see flames. I went & called them over but I expect they were aware. Later that night we walked around to inspect the overall damage & scope of the burn. And the day after. One of the things I found interesting was that the undergrowth had burned while the taller weeds were still present. I guess the straw/hay type dead growth burns so fast that the fire wave quickly passes by anything green. Needless to say we were relieved & thankful that our place didn't sustain any damage. Hard to say what would have happened had the wind been blowing in our direction. I had mowed a pretty wide firebreak which should have been adequate to stop the spread. This was the closest fire we had ever experienced.2 points

Thank you all so much! And apologies for the lack of posts here recently, there's been an awful lot going on. We are indeed moving to the US permanently (or at least for the foreseeable future), to a smallish town just west of Philadelphia. We have family and friends in the area, and it's good timing personally. A big change for the business, and I have a lot to figure out over the coming weeks and months. At least for the time being there are no plans to change the current UK production, but I'm also excited to see what new opportunities come along. I'll be taking a couple of months off while stock crosses the Atlantic, so will try to be a bit more active with wear photos etc. ha! quite right, we're going to have a hot welcome.1 point

Perfect slim fit. Definitely giving the Ivy vibe. Been in my 220s for the last couple of days, really rewarding denim once you start wearing it in.1 point

@AlientoyWorkmachine We're probably the closest to the St Pauls area. I'm working in the shop (son of a stag) on tues & Weds this week. It's generally quiet enough on those days to be done while you wait- or grab a coffee while it's being done if you prefer. I'm in the workshop (soldier blue) doing repairs on Mon & thurs. It's only 7 mins or so from the shop and would happily pop over to do it. Feel free to DM if you have any questions. Martin1 point

Here are the Kyoto fit pics. I don’t really gravitate towards these cuts at the moment, but the pattern on these is really well done. I still wish that the rise was a bit higher. These seem like Resolute 710 through the legs and 711 in the rise. Regardless I quite like them and I’ll probably get used to a lower rise again after wearing these for a bit. The more that I look at them, the less wear that I think they’ve had. I’d be surprised if they’ve been worn more than 10 times and washed more than 1 or 2 times. I promise to still grab some macro shots of the details and denim when I get some time and the lighting is better.1 point

I made a video where I cover 7 pairs of Acronym pants and 4 pairs of Nike ACG pants from the era where Errolson Hugh was collaborating with them. This has by far been the most detailed video I've ever put together. Acronym wise I cover the pants P30A-DS, P10-E, SP29-M, P39-M, P23A-DS, SP29K-M and P53-WS. ACG wise I cover the pants ACG Cargo Trousers Blue, ACG Cargo Shorts, ACG Cargo Trousers Black, and ACG Deploy Cargo Trousers One thing I always miss from newer Acronym pants is how the phone pockets lack extra webbing to wrap over the top of a phone, this is something that was seen on their pants pre 2022 and is for some reason missing today.1 point
