After a lot of work, we finally have the new website up!

the new site's got a lot more content than the old one, and hopefully gives more of an idea of the range that the brand now covers. The plan is that it'll evolve with Tender itself, but also keep track of what's happened so far. It also links all the new products in the Trestle Shop, and shows previous season's collection photos. It's been a lot of work, but it's nice to see the whole lot up online in one place.

By the way, any londoners around these parts might recognise the navigation system from Earls Court tube station :)

^thank you :)

some new lost-wax cast solid bronze buckle belts just in and now up on the Trestle Shop:

these are hand-sewn onto dark brown stained oak bark tanned leather, which hasn't been in the line since the second production. Thought it would be nice to bring it back for a special small run! The buckles will get a lot darker as the bronze oxidises. With (left to right in the photo above) 'Keeper', 'Stud', 'Wire' and 'S' buckles.

thank you BT- I love the old train indicators. There's a lot of cool stuff on the Underground (some lovely clocks, too) which it's very easy to miss when you're trying to get somewhere.

Now for something completely different....

The trestle shop now has a bear! I can't say I've been into teddy bears for the last 25 years or so, but I met the maker of this guy and thought it would be a lovely thing to do. He's completely hand sewn, from the same natural black english lambskin as Tender's vests and mittens from a couple of season's ago, and traditionally stuffed with wood wool, with steel shot weighting in the feet.

very exciting to have a nice little interview in the favourite fives series at the excellent proper magazine. it's amazing to be in such illustrious company as Irvine Welsh and Takeshi Ohfuchi, of Post O'Alls, not to mention my good friends and Tender's stockists Lewis Hull of Superdenim, and the eponymous Daniel Jenkins.

Another nice thing today is some new scarves which are just up on the trestle shop is welsh-woven woollen flannel, used for pullover shirts and caps in the mainline AW12. The fabric was originally woven for miner's shirts, and has been bias-bound in specially made ecru cotton tape:

Rodeo Bill,

Just wanted to let you know I loved the interview with you where you talk about the Guernsey your grandmother handknitted you. I have one myself that my aunt made made me on condition I find and buy the special 5-ply worsted Guernsey yarn. Doing that is what taught me to appreciate real materials and the skill of the handmade, [mine took almost a year to knit for instance] and to keep looking for it.

i popped in very briefly to the pop-up flea in NYC a couple of weekends ago, to say hello to some good friends who had stands there. i also realized something of a dream(!) and finally got on hodinkee, a favourite blog of mine, which I've been reading daily since pretty much the beginning. They had a stall at the P-U-F, and they just put up a watch spotting feature. There's my Tender hands-on (2nd row, right), and also Deborah's lovely little gold jaeger le coultre (3rd row, left) . very exciting :) here's the full post

Ohhh man. Just got my pair of Buttery Store x Tender jeans in. Wow. The beaverteen fabric is so soft yet substantial. I was a little nervous about going to a 129 fit after wearing 130s for the past year but William did a great job with this slimmer cut. He also informed me that this run came up a little smaller in the waist so I actually sized up and the fit is perfect. Ill post pics of them (and a couple other Tender gifts) tomorrow if I have time. Again, well done on this fabric and fit.
