You guys realise you can get official, non Supreme Joy Division t-shirts, right?

Nope; you can't.

For arguments sake, you might as well home make them since neither Joy Division, nor their label, or even Peter Savile (other than to Supreme) ever licensed the rights to the artwork from "Unknown Pleasures." Thus, there aren't any 'official' shirts.

If you ever do find some on the internet they are not licensed merchandise and have simply been printed out by whatever vendor is selling them. In an NME interview with the surviving members of Joy Division a few months back, the band noted how hilarious it was that they see these shirts on people all the time, but to this day, they never authorized the production of a single one.

I was just gonna say this, but I forgot where I read it. Definitely an interesting note that they never had any official t-shirt designs from back in '79.

Even though the Joy Division art that Supreme used was a replica in the first place?

the graphic on the supreme tee is not the exact same as the original unknown pleasures graphic.the lines have been volumized by mr.peter saville in 2004 to print on the tee and the deck.so the "peter saville for Supreme" really makes sense.

thanks for the neg rep cheap and artificial

Despite that, the Saville Supreme stuff is some of my favorite still.

word

p.s. will someone buy my fucking duffel bag already

I love the stockings. I think the colors of that outfit work perfectly.
