i heard lot 10 samurais are slimmer than previous lots, but looking at the measurement for the 0500's through the BIG website, they seem pretty normal. what's the deal? thanks.

they may be using the size chart provided by samurai or simply didn't change the chart for lot 10 jeans.

it's possible they aren't aware of the lot 10 issue. i know vendors here in japan aren't.

Looking for some nice tapered leg [7.5" leg opening max. but preferably smaller] black jeans. I think the fit of my 5010xx is great [the black one looks good too, but I want to try another brand] and I know the SEXIH03BK would be the most obvious choise, but I think those are too expansive and I don't like the fact the backpockets are placed that far from eachother. What do you guys recommend?

I am currently wearing 811's and i was wondering what was a closer fit: the Sam S5000VX or the S0500XX. From looking at BIG, it looks like the latter is closer, am i right?

The rise on the pbj's will the lower, and the leg from the knee down will be much slimmer.

The denim on the black 5010s is different....its pretty intense stuff....so you have skulls and sams and want to try another brand? Flathead 4001 would be sweet if you could find them.

710 is not avaliable in Black, closest is the s5000BK which has a leg opening of 8.5, Any other suggestions? [will selfedge restock SEXI04BK?]

I don't have a decent place to leave it outside for a while, and smell is strong enough that drawe with dryer sheets isn't going to work.

Anyone else dealt with this before? with other materials?

they are higher rise than most modern jeans, prob about 12". noone wears them that high anymore, most let them sit on their hips.

I plan on picking up a pair of 872's within the next 2 weeks, but I'm having some sizing troubles.

I wear a size 32 in Pure Blue Japan xx-005's (fit perfectly), and a size 30 in the 872's measure up closely, but 2 inches smaller waist.

Is it at all possible that I could stretch out a size 30 to fit my 32 (ish) waist?

I think I've gathered that a size 31 would fit spot on, a size 30 could fit perfectly if the waist stretches, and that I would be un-happy with the looseness of size 32's after I wear them in just a little bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love slubby denim!

lvc sizing is wonky...all depends on which country they're from...season, etc. If you have the lvc's on hand, compare the measurements with the charts on BiG's website.
