I *think* the only unexpected detail (outside the model/size stamps) on my pair is that one of my twill pocket bags is selvedge (which is a favorite detail on my FW 601xx). I could be missing something though.

I have one selvage and one raw edge in my pocket bags too.  No selvage on belt loops or cinch.

Perhaps that’s the deal with the 611.

I was just in Michigan for two weeks. The snowdrift on the frozen lake looks like waves of the sea, very surreal.

Where in Michigan were you? This is honestly one of my favorite times along the lake, for this very reason. I’ve been making pictures of it whenever I can the last few years. I couldn’t get there this year and was really gutted about it.

Almost all the jeans in this thread are already showing signs of fading after just a few weeks. I don’t wear any single pair of jeans constantly, I rotate between two, three, or more pairs over each several months, and such level of wear usually starts appearing after a year or so. I’m a bit puzzled. Am I too careful? Or is my lifestyle just too cautious?

What do you guys do with your raws? Sleep in them, rub against walls while walking around the house, or roll around on carpeted floors?😀

Yup what Maynard said, consistency is key!
I haven’t really been rotating any other pairs in yet, and I’m noticing some nice contrast starting to develop. Once the summer kicks off I’ll start swapping pairs somewhat more frequently.

In recent years I tend to be fairly committed to one pair, at least for the the first 6 months or so. Maybe a day a week I’ll wear something else, but lately I haven’t done much of that. I am noticing some wear but nothing crazy. To my mind I would say these started out quickly but then have seemed to slow down, for now. I walk a lot and bike and play with my kid, some light gardening (more soon), that’s about the extent of it.

One of the things that I miss about living in Evanston was being able to run next to the frozen Lake Michigan in winter with a view of the Chicago skylineP1015145-2.thumb.jpeg.0bb889b9d473625aed204dc84d691ae1.jpeg

In theory, we’re only 30 minutes from Lake Huron now but far from actual open water. Thankfully, the trade-off is that there are lots more forested areas here which are also beautiful in late winterDSCF9489.thumb.jpeg.4fcaaa725874e6efc6cb1b09bb1ed5da.jpeg

Never noticed it before since it was either not frozen or very frozen, and a lot of snow. It was cool to see and was totally screwing with my mind.

I was in West Bloomfield. As my mate says, 'if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait 5 minutes...'

I'm wearing mine almost full time, about 2 weeks before a break each time, even then only a day or so off. We'll have to see if that continues over the next 14 months. Crocking is starting to show.

@Talan Lifestyle is a big factor yeah; if you don’t walk much your jeans won’t fade much…that said, yeah, these are crazy fast fading, right up there with some of the newer Warehouse denims

Fast faders, but also keep in mind fit; These are my dedicated pair, but since I upsized them I'm not getting as much wear and sharp creasing, but at the same time I know the crotch won't blow out. Anyways, we're all in it for the long haul, you still have time!

Still ice on Little Traverse Bay if you come up north! Though it's getting dirty. Excuse the photo, taken while running last Saturday. Ice is still there, however, with a fresh blanket of snow.

I like the fit of these quite a bit overall, but one thing I’ve found is that the lower rise means I don’t end up wearing button-up shirts much; the proportions just end up feeling off. On one hand it feels like a shame to be so limited, but on the other hand I think the challenge of putting together more outfits that just rely on simple tee shirts has done a lot to help get me out of a sort of slump that I’d been in for the past few months, which is a pretty cool side effect. (In general, I think that the idea of being forced to get a little more creative with what non-jeans clothes items I wear was a strong point in favor of me joining the contest in the first place.)

Anyway, for most of this week we had some collaborators and customers in from out of town @ my job, which meant wearing shirts, which meant wearing different jeans. It felt surprisingly good this morning to get back in the usual flow.

Thx Julian. Maybe also a reason is that are oversized. Normally I wear 34, but those are 37. They are really fast faders. I did just long cycle wash and after I had to pull up legs. I prefer to have double little cuff and I wanted to avoid to have them in the middle of thighs. Now they are with cuff 5 cm above ankles. I have to say, the denime and manufacturing is amazing....

Thank you Simone
