^nice @ecsong187! I really envy the pocket bags on those midnight 64s.

Not much noticeable happening with my LHTs yet, but I gave them a second soak the other day (warm this time) to see if there was any more shrinkage before hemming them and they actually shrank below/past the MF chart specs. Cone being cone everything stretched right back out after a day of wear. The inseam, though, is down to 33.5" so no hem needed, just a nice simple double cuff.

Hey  @ecsong187 very nice fit ... I ordered my midnights at Friday and should touch them in the middle of next week .... how is your first impression from the denim ? did you soak them already ? if yes how was shrinkage ? I would really appreciate if you can share your feeling of the new purchase ... Thx

the midnight denim is kind of wild. It feels really dense so it seems heavier than 16oz. It takes a bit to break in. Mine still feel like raw after a couple weeks of wear and two washes. I didnt take measurements but the shrink was roughly about a size with a warm machine wash and air dry.

I have a pair of the MF left hand twill 64's. I have soaked them once and washed them once -- the denim new is very smooth and shiny, with a grey/silver cast.

It is interesting how different the left hand denim feels and looks from other cone denim -- does anyone have a pair that is broken in that can comment on how this denim develops and breaks in?

Thanks!

Weather permitting I’ll be working on MS chinos, great face potential (and the little chub chub who wondered into shot will definitely have a hand in it)

@MJF9 Actually I think I saw a pic of you next to a bicycle that encouraged me to purchase them that and the 30% discount On the MS website. I just love how baggy and lightweight they are, I’ve now flogged 90% of my denim that is over 14oz. How many washes did it take to get it to that shade? I’m thinking of putting some serious wear over the summer months before I let them touch water.

@Toegun ah cool... yeah I agree the fit and comfyness are spot on. I washed them when I got them then the next wash was when they were properly dirty I guess about 6 months later, 3 months of wear.

Iirc at the point of that bike photo, I'd probably put a couple of months into them (I don't count). They do fade fast and I felt sunlight accelerated that.

So yeah I think putting sone serious wear into them first is right.

Ooms jacket shows what can really happen - so good.

I see the little fella is shooting up fast. Bet you need eyes in the back of your head right now. Great times.

@MJF9 Yup spot on mate, he'll be 2 in November and lives without fear (leaves that for his parents). Running, climbing, pressing buttons and flipping switches but without any finesse. More like a tank in a glass house. I'll have to hunt down the pics of oomslokop's jacket, I didn't even know there was one. That 30% discount is dangerous!!!!

Indigo métisse twill Sportsman chinos...

Seen some great examples of this fabric when well worn so couldn't resist... including IIRC Ooms had a waistcoat in the same stuff...

Long term goals to move from current state to target state... patiently...
