It was -10C when I got in the car this morning.. I had to take the car to work because it was the 0’Soul’s annual family trip to the dentist.

I had the forethought to do two things.. I cycled to the car on the way home from work yesterday to scrape the snow off so I didn’t have to do it at 6am .. and at 6am, I took Wham’s Greatest Hits from the CD rack.

.. so although I have ice inside the windows because the heater doesn’t work.. I was banging out Wham while singing.. “Let Me Take You To A Place Where Motherships A Smiling Face.. Rubbing Shoulders With The Staaaars...” B)

All In the interest of balance of course.

Great song! I watched the Joe Strummer documentary a couple weeks ago, not sure if you saw it/your take on that, but I thought it was kind of funny how they didn't show any of the interviewees names when they were talking, made for kind of a fun game to see how many you can get, but also kind of annoying.

My favorite band Gleemer has a tight new album out today. Their sound is a terrific blend of 90s American alt rock, dream pop, and slowcore. Here's a video for one of their new songs.

(My profile picture is the cover of their 2015 classic "Moving Away," in case you wondered.)

Also, music video by Soft Blue Shimmer, my other favorite band and another dream pop/shoegaze inspired group, produced by Gleemer's frontman Corey Coffman, who is a prolific and talented producer.

I feel like ethereal indie rock goes well with the denim nerd lifestyle, but I'm pretty sure that's just me and @youngofthesoonest.

it's a great album. Corey also mixed Trauma Ray's new album which was really good. Also on that same vein, I've been playing the new Balance and Composure album a ton.

I like that Gleemer track. I’ll have to check out more from them. Kind of has Codeine vibes (but not so down tuned), which is one of my favorite bands…

What does everyone’s Spotify / Apple Music / whatever end of year wrap up look like?

I’m always surprised to see what my top 5 artists are.
