Anyone have measurements for 66’ in a size 34?

Here you go.

I only soaked the legs in luke warm water, the top block had a lot of room, so I hot soaked that.
Washed them once in cold water. 33 would have been snugger, but 34 is not too loose and still comfy.

Measurements (BiG method):
Waist:              90cm (35,5")
Front Rise:      29cm (11,42")
Back Rise:       40,5cm (15,95")
Thigh:              32cm (12,6")
Leg Opening:  20cm (7,9")
Inseam:            78,5cm (30,9")

I was planning on getting the anniversary model until you shared the price

Really like the 66 and Z model had a couple of pairs of both over the years but they seem to be turning into more a fashion brand of late. Logos and daft pricing,  it has a whiff of private equity to it all.

I used to get all my Boncoura from alpha shadows. Was wearing my fisherman sweater the other week during the cold snap that I bought from them 50% off a couple of years ago. Thickest woolly jumper ever.

The video and the pictures sure add to the intrigue! But the price is a bit high for me.
Also, the Boncura 66 seems hard to find except for a few shops in Japan. Seems like I’ll have better luck just waiting for my next Japan trip.
Also thanks for the sizing advice, luckily most sites tend to list the One Wash measurements, which makes me believe I can go TTS if I need to.

Definitely agree with this, pricing for a lot of their stuff seems to have gotten out of hand which is why I don't really keep up with the brand anymore.

How would natural indigo fade differently?

I don't think anyone really knows, since this is an entirely new denim.
Depending on the dying technique natural indigo has a tendency not to fade very much, however these seem to age more quickly than I'd expect.
The fit pics for the webshop online look slightly faded already.

From the photo & video we can tell that this indigo yarn is dyed by rope dye. So the core is white.

I guess it probably fades like synthetic indigo that is rope dyed?

A lot of  natural indigo denim produced by Japanese are said to be done by " hank dye" which keep the yarn soaking indigo thus the core is not white

(this is also a myth as I never owned one or saw a cross section photo like above of hank dye yarn)

I think Some 45r jeans are using natural indigo in rope dye too, boncoura is cheaper if we compare to 45r :)

I’ve spent extra on natural indigo in the past with PBJ AI & Full Count and both times been disappointed with how it fades and ages. Probably my least worn jeans.

Anyhow looks like they have sold out in everything smaller than 32” waist so dilemma is solved.

Quite fancy a pair of Boncoura cords instead.

I picked up the Boncoura XX jean. Before trying them on I thought they'd be too tapered for my current tastes but after trying it on, I really liked how the cut was done. I ended up sizing up to a 34 to account for more potential shrink of the fabric and expansion of my body. The little details with the buttons all facing the right way, the stitching of the back pockets, the raised belt loops. etc. The fabric felt a little heftier than expected too. I'm excited to see how these turn out. IMG_9025.thumb.jpeg.9d6ccff29268c71658c185e845a30f21.jpegIMG_9026.thumb.jpeg.639092bcd5cba89ce1a6629e358d6cf9.jpegIMG_9028.thumb.jpeg.5e905c89f8760f5255cb4bc46cdfcafb.jpegIMG_9029.thumb.jpeg.95693084f38aece98c55bbd12ab4b405.jpegIMG_9030.thumb.jpeg.ee3f44b3978e8749d17ece9f21599c68.jpegIMG_9031.thumb.jpeg.63c09e9933add5f49f24d03f555b56dc.jpegIMG_9034.thumb.jpeg.94c38b6c2e2beed79c128062a0bb0185.jpegIMG_9032.thumb.jpeg.1664183e3eaf9250f768a6db3f5a75f4.jpegIMG_9036.thumb.jpeg.d7d624983fe212d879a5563dcef47902.jpegIMG_9037.thumb.jpeg.349704a31ef184915795dee96234b280.jpegIMG_9038.thumb.jpeg.8b97694dd96a627615114bb570abe40a.jpeg

Interesting take on the V-stitch. Haven't seen that on Boncoura before. I have a look at them every now and then. I sold my 66 pair but the XX might have been the better cut for me to begin with.

I only realised recently that the slanted back belt loop and the triangle stitching on the back pockets is a rather blunt "copy" from the Denime XX. This just adds to the rumor that Hayashi-san is not on good terms with the owner of Boncoura. But I don't know what happaned exactly, maybe Ed knows more.
