Challenge #3

Thought the other weekend that i should try this drinking challenge. My plan was solid, just drink ten beers. But I only got to like seven or eight. Mega said it was cool though (thanks). So I'm here to share the photo proof of it!

Started out with a Dale´s

A season correct October Beer

A barley wine that wasn't especially good.

Then a Rochfort 10 to get my head straight again

A cool little selfie

After that we head out to some friends so I took a home-brewed Saison on the Metro

The best beer of the night, an Imp. Stout from Norway called Konrads

And I think this was the last one (that I got a photo of.) A Westmale Tripel from the bootle due to lack of glasses..

Dale's Pale Ale has been one of my go-to beers over the past year and a half or so.  I moved to New York from the midwest and had never heard of it at the time, but apparently it's made its way to Sweden! American PA/IPA are certainly a different style than most European beer...I hope you enjoyed it!

Even though I'm really tired of hoppy beers, Dale´s have still worked. American styled beer have been really popular here for a few years. But it's starting to fade out a bit now.

Drinking a Rochefort 10 as a head straightener?? Drinking Westmalle Tripel straight from the bottle??? You sir are an animal !!

Haha, those were the only one I had home.. :)

You can still see plenty of mud along the seam in the middle picture - they've been soaked and machine washed since then too.

Been busier than I can ever remember...I took a week off work to try and finish moving into our new house. My jeans got a lot of wear in the past week. Did some painting:

Hopefully the old place sells quickly...

The pups are finally settling in:

They'll enjoy the big yard and pool next summer, our last house had no backyard.(we lived on a decent sized corner lot, but the dog were always leashed...here we have over an acre, and they can run)

And to add to the stress, today we had an alarm system installed. The technician was here over 4 hours, and when demonstrating the window sensors, he shattered one.

Hopefully things calm down, and I can spend more time here...I'm feeling like I'm missing a lot. :(

Great updates guys, and don't worry about missing too much HV, it's a 2 year contest and we're still in year 1 so plenty of time to catch up.

It's that time again guys.......

HWDC Challenges - Round 4

1) Scary Denim - As Halloween is almost upon us, show how terrifying you can be in your jawns with a truly shocking denim pic. Don't be shy on the blood and gore.

2) Changing Seasons Denim - Up here in the Northern hemisphere the seasons are changing from summer to Autumn/ Fall, whereas the Southern hemisphere is looking forward to Summer. Capture and image that best represents the changing seasons to you and your jeans.

3) Denim Vs Food - This one is dead simple, take your denim out for some epic eats (or at home) and capture the experience for us all to share with you.

Challenges end on 27/01/14.

Ok, I figured that since today is the deadline for contest 3, I should post my pictures (actually did this 2 months ago for my birthday).  I normally have only a couple alcoholic drinks a month, so having 10 in one night (counting the 24 ounce beers as 2) was kind of insane for me, even with Utah percentages. :)  Sorry the pics are kind of terrible.  There are shots of my jeans afterwards, which are actually nice to look at.

1) Stella

2) Whiskey (forgot which, as it was 2 months ago)

3-4) Budweiser Double

5) Belgian Raspberry Lambic

6) "Birthday Cake Shot"

7) Some crappy white wine

8)Some crappy tequilla

Now, the jeans.  Just shy of 8 months, 5 washes.  Will probably get a wash soon.

First real damage:

Any recommendations on repairing that pocket tear before it gets big?  I feel like people working on it will want to remove the pocket to patch it, which means taking out the hidden rivets (ie, not OK with me).  I guess I can do it by hand, but that's a huge pain.

Fortunately, the crotch is holding up really well with no signs of thinning whatsoever.

Your pair is sick and by far my favorite so far. i'd bet on you to win this, even if you stopped wearing them. Regarding your question: Maybe it's possible to remove the pocket only at the bottom, so the hidden rivets stay in place. I'd look for a real skilled tailor that understands a bit about these jeans.
