I darkened and burnished the welt a little, and re-dyed and re-sealed the leather on the vamp and back-stay.

Mike, that's an amazing transformation! That must have been a lot of sweat! :)

My second (and final pair) came in. I'll be rotating these with the service boots.

I might be getting a pair of whiskey long wings as well. I didn't want to have the same shoe as anybody else on the comp but the price is hard to pass up... if I do, sorry RIFF!

Mike, I will probably do the project boot as well. Although now I'm tempted to pick up Alden's before the price increases kick in....

Nice!! I remember reading his article. They are really beautiful. Some of the earlier ones I've seen were a bit bulbous, but yours are so sleek. So you're one of the lucky ones Paul mentioned :)

Yep, I only popped in to check out the store but once I tried them on resistance was futile.

Very pleased with them & have had to hide them in the bottom of my wardrobe until 1/1.

The horse hide leather that’s offered on the Semi Dress is horse hide strip – the leather hides only come in pieces about 4 feet long and 8-12†in height.

      Time to officially kick off the contest now that the jeans have reached at least some of you!
      Fabric: A14 oz denim with a very light pink selvedge-ID made by a blend of US cotton. It was made to capture the essence of vintage Cone and I'd say it turned out very well. It starts out flat and uniform before it hits water, then it crocks like crazy. Should get some nice vertical falling. The fabric is made exclusively for Denimbridge by Yamaashi mill in Okayama on a Toyoda shuttleloom. According to Shingo it's a small factory which is an important factor for both Shingo and us in this project.

      The contest length: The contest will run until January 31th. After that you will all have until February 28th to post the final pics.
      The prizes: The winner will win a pair of Denimbridge jeans, sponsored by Denimbridge, and the runner-up gets a €200 voucher from Göteborg Manufaktur.
      The jury: A jury of 5 will judge the contest winner: Shingo-san, Kuniyoshi-san, Jonas and Olof that runs Gbg Mfg and myself.
