Agreed @scooby, I find knee repairs never drape well and look too obvious (although some people may like that). Imho you end up looking like an energetic child whose mum has patched up his jeans!

I caved and got it repaired. Only thing I hate more than knee repairs is having my bare kneecaps on the ground when I kneel down

How do you guys fit the 601RB?
Consensus seems to be the same size as 51.

My standard size in FW jeans in 34.
36 would probably be too big in the 601 RB, no?

I have 601RB in 36 and they are a good fit. 47 and WWII I also have in 36 and they are looser overall but waist is perfect. I got 51s now in 38 because I wanted a looser fit.

I’m a 33 across the board in 22, 37, 43, 47, wwii.
but I found the 33 in the 601rb too snug in the top block/legs. So went up to a 34 and am much happier with the fit. The waist tends to stretch out quickly so I have been washing them more often to keep them fitting well.

This was my experience too. W31 was a good fit in the 47s, but I found I needed to size up to W32 in the RBs and 51s (which I believe are the same cut) for the top block to be comfortable. I’m sure it depends on one’s body shape (I think my thighs are quite big in relation to my waist).
