Got some FOB First time getting a pair of duck cotton pants and they feel light but sturdy - 11oz. So should be perfect for this time of year. Not sure what the shrinkage situation is with these but they are long enough for a double cuff and are a relaxed fit so I think I should be fine...any others with any experience with these? Bit of an impulse buy but I'm glad i did Update - washed at 40 air dried and no noticeable shrinkage. FOB also got back to me superfast on instagram and confirmed they are a one-wash so should not shrink much at all.9 points

It even works on Sassafras items (which seem to be excluded for other coupons). @julian-wolf check that out!3 points

We can consider ourselves lucky to have these jeans with a "PIZZA"-tab...3 points

My jeans are finally getting to that "matte feel" now. Especially during summer, it always feels like they will start to accelerate in fading when it reaches that arbitrary status. Could be totally placebo.2 points

My 147 are true to size (whatever that means) and they fit perfect. But if you can only go up or down then go up one. As @okimoto implied the hip is unforgiving. For comparison I am a 31 in Warehouse, etc and wear a 31 in the 147.2 points

Agreed with @Broark, the general consensus here seems to be sizing up for cinchback pairs. My pair of 147s does not have much hip flare at all and has never stretched much with a belt. Lean into the stove pipe look!2 points

Anyone ever used reggieshop.com? They have an interesting line-up of brands. I came across a 31% off discount code that works on the Sugar Cane Super Denim Collectibles models they carry (#01 and #05). If anyone is interested, they have 34, 36, and 38 available in the #05 (1942) and 38 in #01 (1945). Hope this is ok to post, code is Happy31.2 points

Some detail snaps: Never had a cinch like this before. Already learned the hard way that it needs to be in use, else it'll stab you in the leg when putting them on... Some loose yarns on the inner fly: A few quick fit snaps: After a small amount of wear I'm pretty sure that I've picked the correct size. We're in a heatwave here in London at the moment so my first outing in them was a brief one to the shops... here are measurements after a couple hours: Waist 42cm Front rise 32cm Back rise 40.5cm Hem 24.5cm2 points

I wear a belt AND have my cinch fastened on my 30s. No one is getting them off me without my permission.1 point

This is interesting, and not wanting to confuse the matter, but I am 34 across all Warehouse pairs, yet 32 in all At Last trousers - be they denim / chinos / other. Fully agree though if you're in between then go up.1 point

The blue fashion boards are not much different to here .. (well here in 2010) .. just a little bit more racism and a lot more Naked & Famous There's an edgyalbert thread.. the guy who shot the Tilden / Roy video .. and quite an enjoyable thread with young folk getting there tattoos removed by laser because they don't want to look like a "sad old boomer or a hysterical middle-aged white woman" ..1 point

@chicote I would probably say size up, I sold my 147s because the waist was a bit more nipped than I anticipated. I also didn't give them much of a chance to stretch, but I personally think most of their jeans look better sized up.1 point

34000 yen I paid for jeans - I recently picked up a pair of 147. Granted this was mail order, I don't think there's much difference if any though!1 point

"Ma Bell, got the ill communications Ma Bell, got the ill communications Ma Bell, got the ill communications" -The Beastie Boys Been after one of these for a minute. Scarce but not terribly rare MA BELL strike tee, 1971 In July of 1971 workers at Southern Bell (a part of AT&T) went on strike and countless t shirts, pins, flyers, patches etc were made in various designs. This would continue well into the 90s as workers kept pushing back against massive technological change. There would be later strikes (notably in 1983) so this tee could be a from a little more recent history but the single stitch sleeves and hem as well as the simple paper tag seem to confirm the early 70s. Just a reminder: fuck monopolistic greedy corporations and support your fellow worker. Class warfare is an ugly beast and we need more class unity. Too many working class folks are cheering for their own destruction these days.1 point

A celegration of FW’s pearl buttons, the best in the ‘verse. First are 2 versions of the diamond cracker. The first one is the older version of the 8oz denim one (the new version doesn't have pearl buttons), and the second one is a cool cotton / linen indigo oxford. Can't recall the names for #3-5 right now.1 point

Hahaha well... my other SCSC 45s and 43s are w34, as are all my FW (albeit those feel more generous in some fits)... this was definitely a small pair by the measurements compared to other actual measurement I know of... hanging on in there still... just 😬 The w36 unwashed were humungous. I had them hemmed longer cos I wanted a f-off cuff and to allow me to wash hotter on 40C (the w34 was washed on 30C). The final pic is cinched to almost the max (cinch fades ftw)... not a smooth rear image in any way but I don't give a sh!t as I don't look at it Keeping both atm but if one was to go based on fit (rather than bells and whistles) it'd be the w34... we'll see1 point
