^ Same plans here! Clear skies today, and dirt plenty soft after a couple weeks of rain, so we took the opportunity to pick up some exciting starts & put them in the ground plus (not shown) a healthy looking little finger lime tree, a lilac, geranium, and some crawling time for between the walk way tiles. Jeans still feeling great! feat. Union Special cap, Skyway Man tee, Hollows belt, wet Russells25 points

My lad was playing football on the east cost near Filey, about 1.5 hours away from home, so we made a trip to the beach there. A 6-1 cup win and a goal for Junior MJF9 made for a good morning Filey is a really dilapidated old English seaside town... but, regardless, we do like to be beside the seaside We were Hank Marvin so the fish 'n' chips never lasted long Staged fit pics of the WoM 5150s with the other stuff I'm wearing regularly... not much to see yet... this looks like being a slow burn for me And nope... a quick sea-wash didn't tempt me... this time14 points

Have you all heard of Panam sneakers? They’re a brand I saw a couple of times around Mexico, and embarrassingly and chauvinistically wrote them off as probably some pair of off-brand Nike/Adidas knockoffs. The swoosh /and/ the stripe?? It seemed too over the top to be anything else. Well, on a whim one day, I walked into one of the many retail stores they have around the country, and subsequently found out I had the story completely backwards. Not only is Panam a very well-established sneaker brand, and one of the longest-running made-in-Mexico fashion brands around, but it actually /predates/ Nike by almost a decade, being founded in 1962. So, out of curiosity and maybe feeling a bit humbled by my error, I got a pair: the “084” model in white & gum. (placeholder for photo) I’ve had them for close to three months now and am honestly very impressed, coming from experience mainly with Nike Dunks and a couple pairs of New Balances. My pair cost just over $25 USD, but to me they stack up well against a good portion of the major US sneaker brands. The soles are quite thin (they sometimes have a reputation here that you can feel pebbles beneath your feet as you walk) but as an upside, they’re very flexible and easy to wear in. Anyway, I don’t have too much else to say, but hope this is interesting to someone - or if you have a pair I’d love to hear how you like them!12 points

This ones a good story. This was my dad’s restaurant he owned in Seattle in the mid-late 80s. The story goes that when he and his brother purchased the business, they didn’t want to demolish the cool, vintage “Leroys Grill” neon sign, so they just decided to name it Leroys. They found a bunch of branded gear in the attic and gave it away (wasn’t really a ‘buy a t-shirt’ kind of establishment during their time). By the time he passed, he only had one “Leroys” sweater left, and he gave it to my sister. The Christmas after he passed, my mom gave this to me. She randomly stumbled across it on Etsy being sold by a vintage reseller. No backstory as to where it was found (probably a thrift store of course). Definitely one of my prized possessions12 points

Same as you folk - I exercise 5-6 times a week, have done forever and will continue until something bad stops me. It's my panacea. Now you mention lockdown @ATWM, while it had so many bad and sad effects, the daily family exercise regime at ours was great. Family workouts - hill sprints in the park, Muay Thai circuit training in the garden, weight training with some old kit I've had since my mid-teens when I started strength training to help football and athletics, we even used an old cinder 400m track and trained there - with even a timed 4x100m family relay to finish (and try beat the time at the next session). Memorable in many ways.10 points

My kettlebells and rowing erg in our studio apartment saved my mind in the early months of the pandemic. Especially as where I lived at that time was not great for walking/running - which I did also do. Thankfully where I’m at now is better for getting outside, so I mix it up. Unless I’m sick I need to do something 5-6 days a week to feel okay and hope to until I keel over.5 points

Couple month old pics of my '14 D105's that I've been wearing for the last 6ish years.... pathetic progress I know but still in love with this denim! Just snagged a size up in some natural indigo 3005s that'll probably be next but can't see stopping these anytime soon. Still need to get around to the right length though...3 points

This is the main thing. Doing what you can and making small improvements. Having the dedication is the main effort for me. I’d love to have some own my own equipment, but our place is too small, so off to the local gym a couple of times a week. That and a bit of running. Either or depending on the weather and my mood. I always feel better afterwards, even if it makes me tired and less productive for the remaining hours of the day when I’m supposed to be concentrating the most.3 points

Looks cool the panam sneakers! I’ve really come to like my Flower Mountain sneakers. got them last year, was looking into NB but the ones I tried were too dadish or to wide for my the feet. These fit me well and are light weight. i like the small details with it not being overdone (imo). had to swap the original laces, as they were reflecting light and felt quite corpcore-ish.3 points

^ I heard a rumour that prime Dorian Yates was planning on entering one of the first Sufu contests... the issue was his 33 inch waist, with each leg 30 inch round 😉3 points

(Please excuse the lack of legs, they were removed and stored in drawers for transportation. Also mirror is not pictured but it was included.) My girlfriend and I put an offer on a house a few weeks ago that didn't get accepted, but in a weird small world coincidence it turned out that the seller was one of my college professors who I've kept somewhat in touch with professionally. Since it was his father's house which he inherited, and he was just trying to clear it out I reached out to him to see if he was interested in some extra cash for some of the furniture. There was a bunch of furniture that we loved, but this Johnson Carper set stuck out in particular. He wasn't interested in selling, he just wanted it gone and was happy to give it to us for free. I don't know much about mcm resale value, but I gotta imagine this set could easily sell for at least $700 or so. We just had an offer accepted yesterday, so hopefully everything looks good after inspections and this stuff doesn't have to live in my parents' dining room to long. Bedside table, tallboy, lowboy with mirror, and headboard. Also got a cool hanging wall lamp that I don't have a good picture of.3 points

Good to see some fellows who know the BB king Yates. I’ve been lifting for years and have followed a lot of his advice.2 points

Haha! I wish there was something worth showing, UkeNo. Most of the gear is just affordable stuff from Dicks Sporting Goods. I've been quite dedicated over the past few years to trying to put on some healthy muscle before the supposed aging-related 'window of opportunity' closes. I've definitely made some progress but I'm still kinda disappointed at the gains vs effort/time ratio. It's all good though. Definitely a worthwhile thing to keep up for the 'silver years'.2 points

Plugging along through a very cold New York winter. Not the lighting to show any denim progress, though there also really isn't much to report as these are off-hours only. But overall loving the fit and feel. It never feels like a chore to reach for these in the morning getting dressed and they've styled well into everything I've tried with them.2 points

Next prewash update Ooe Yofukuten Lot OA01XX-0522: The pair feels very light and extremely comfortable on the body (sometimes I feel Zimbabwe cotton like FC), fit well on the body, joyful experience Thread count, thread color and stitches per inch are well balanced throughout the pair and helps create an elegant look and feel. Consistent placement of iPhone in right front pocket has left marks of usage (not very prominent) Whiskers are prominent Buttons have become shiny (couldn't capture well by camera) Usage of wallet in left back pocket developed marks, waiting for blowout with more usage Nice puckering on back pockets and yoke raised loops have started fading nicely I liked slight puckering of waist band (maybe I will not like extensive puckering) raised loop like double stitching, from crotch area to yoke with raised cloth , caused similar character like "raised loops fading" (either deliberate by OA or incidental , though very nice). leather patch still intact and very soft like silk train tracks are prominent copper rivets at pockets have started change in color honey combs the best roping, I have experienced so far among all Japanese Raw Denim pairs I have though not well captured by camera but stitching on inseam looks very elegant An unwanted crease during 1st wash also got prominent (my mistake during first wash)2 points

Torrential downpours, debris flows and mud slides today in Sierra Madre, so not going anywhere - as per usual in the week! Warehouse, Warehouse, new FC 1101SSWs and some new NB 574. @Thicolas Rage - these are the trainers I mentioned in the other thread when you asked about trainers with jeans. I think they look great. Not MiUSA like my 993s but these look better with jeans IMO.1 point
