Y'all some fancy-ass mofos, the first picture I'm taking of my jeans is of me scarfing down a slice of a pepperoni Hot-and-Ready.7 points

My preferred pizza toppings are very location dependent in New York. Best Pizza has an amazing seasonal vegetable that isn't conventional in the slightest (often some potato and artichoke). Old Lombardi's did it just right with garlic sautéed spinach. Rubi Rosa's tie-die pie is pretty perfect. Lucia nails a cream of spinach variation. So many good options. When I make pizza, it's usually sauce, mozzarella, basil, red onion and black olives. If we end up getting these jeans in-hand for a mid-December start date, I will be blown away by the efficiency of execution.7 points

All this pizza talk had me hungry for lunch. Just went with a classic pepperoni and basil.7 points

I checked in with Simone earlier today... the plan remains to have the jeans to us in December... but, yeah, as we know (and I'm paraphrasing a touch here), no plan survives first contact with reality (Marshal Helmuth von Moltke the Elder said 'enemy' but it's clearly not appropriate here!). Single-man dependency risks certainly apply here! There's a load of pics on his Instagram and his website Alec - worth a gander if you haven't looked already - is anything missing? We're behind other work in Simone's queue so any new asks could cause timeline delays. We could see what he has easily to hand that's missing... but there are 5 different models in the contest we'd need to factor and we need to be careful to avoid delays matey.... also not sure what he keeps in stock, probably not much. Let's see where we land. Agreeing that them 5150s look very nice indeed!!4 points

@aho ooof that jacket looks good! It looks like the pattern is the same as the Railroad jacket which I have in ecru. I remember discussing the fit with @Broark and @JohnM at the time.. as @Broark says the shoulders are noticeably slimmer. @JohnM had contacted Ryo directly about the pattern and Ryo said the following... I'm working on the basis John's ok with me sharing as it's some useful info direct from the maker himself 👍 "As you feel, this jacket has a unique fit because of vintage cutting A line, Narrow shoulders and wide arm, side seamless, split sleeves. A split sleeve is a set-in sleeve at the front and a raglan sleeve at the back. You may be feeling something wrong with your shoulder fit until you get used to this jacket, it is right, it is an intentional element. In our opinion, your shoulder fitting should be more comfortable little by little as you wear it. Enjoy!! "3 points

What @Broark said @aho 😂 and it looks like they are taking overseas orders, just need to give them your address and they’ll calculate shipping.2 points

I know next to nothing about Wranglers but they look perfectly legit to me.. just look at the details, why would someone go to such lengths to fake a pair of $60 vintage Wranglers, it's not like there is a huge market for them. What makes you think they could be fake?2 points
-
@aho let me know if you go through with the order, curious if they accept overseas orders or if we'll need to use a proxy.2 points

Much appreciated @Broark looks like I'm going with the 44! Strange I don't own any other articles of clothing from Ooe than jeans/pants 😅2 points

@aho nice spot, I like that chore coat. Might also get one, I like the black stitching! I have a couple of them from OA and in response to your question it’s a little bit of both. I have a few in size 44 and the only area that I find a little slim is in the shoulders. Worn open the shoulders don’t feel too small, but buttoned up they’re just a little tighter than I’d like. I find it a little strange how the shoulders can feel tight while the chest isn’t, but somehow that’s how the cut works on my body.2 points

I like any and all pizza. NY, Detroit, Neapolitan, Chicago deep dish (which is why I thought they called them pies tbh) et al. Margherita, marinara, pepperoni, cheese, supreme, hawaiian, BBQ chicken, potato, white sauce...I cannot say I have ever had a bad pizza, no matter what was on it. I have recently been to a few Japanese pizza places that ranked in the top 20 of the world, and they were incredible. "Weirder" topping-style pizza compared to what chains sell, of course. Love making za too! PS Simone is poking fun at Italians regarding their pizza stereotype 😂2 points
-
I like a basic margherita but tuna, red onion, capers, anchovies and jalapeños are all good, not necessarily all together but generally in some permutation. Olives I can take or leave. Chicken should never be in the same room as a pizza. Interestingly, I’ve often wondered why some Americans call a pizza a ‘pie’ as it really isn’t one and I don’t think it’s referred to as that anywhere else. I googled it and came across this article.2 points

So where are we, roughly maybe two months out? What's everyone's go-to pizza toppings? I'm a classic guy, generally prefer margarita or supreme. Keep your weird stuff (pineapple, buffalo or barbecue chicken, etc.) off my pizza.2 points

I was looking through old jeans and noticed this Denim Demon pair from around 2009. They were a small maker from Stockholm... looks like they folded ages ago They got my interest for a few reasons: Are these sort of pizza arcs? Made in Italy They have late 30s ish features but a laurel wreath-esque top button... reminds me of the Canes I got recently I also noticed the top panel on the backside is over the bottom panel... if I understood it correctly, this is what @Dr_Heech was talking about recently. Them and the FW Ironalls Lot 102 overalls ae the only jeans I have with this arrangement.2 points

One update deserves another. These are the 01’s in the XX4 denim I think. I find this denim quite comfortable - rivaling fullcount - and also quite stubborn! Probably 5-6 months real time wear, the last month has me cycle commuting 5-10 miles a day in them 3-5 days a week. Washed 5-6 times, washing weekly now.2 points
