I just cut out the 'hidden' arcs of my 710bk's... the disproportionate wear from them was makin' me MAD.

I don't think they're exactly the same cutting. I haven't seen much of S0505XX2, but I believe they're slightly less tapered than the S710XX2nd.

I'm actually wearing my S710XX2nd right now. Second wear, probably put only 5 hours of wear into it, so they're still almost brand new. Pics soon!

The measurements on 2nd are identical, altho description of the 505 mentions expressly its 'shallow' rise, measurements for which don't seem to be anywhere.

This question has been asked several times before and I have answered it on those occasions. I had a pair of Lot 7 505's and Lot 10 710's and they did not fit in any way similar.

think this is gonna be the last progress post of my 710s for quite some time. I´ve has them for 13 month and they have about 11month of solid wear. washed quite a couple of times and also lots of repairs...i´m really focussing on my eternals now and the samurais will be left at home, when i will leave for a couple of month for an attachment at an hospital in HK...

the color in the pics is quite true and better as in my most recent pics about 2 months ago.

Stretching the waist and keeping the hems out of the water because I didn't want them to shrink.

on a bigger guy like myself, would the 710s looks like a standard straight leg? i'd probably get a 35 or 36 (inches after soaking) waist. i dont wanna look like some fat peg-legged kid wearing skinny jeans. hahahaha
