skidded down half a flight of stairs in my S710 today. Surprisingly, no damage to the jeans, just slight fading on the left shin and right knee. Also surprised how little skin scraped off my shin.

It wasn't just a rumor, I emailed Gordon and he confirmed that it was happening, but they were supposed to get them in around mid-March I'm not sure what happened, unless it has something to do with the tsunami.

Damn, I should sell something if this happening.

I have to agree with the others, they really don't look like SD3. They are not to far away from my S5000VX, SD1 (lot.10 though).

After one week wear the creases starting to settle on my 710's. 2 coldsoaks and one boiling soak under the waist. I'm a true 32 and went TTS. 154 lbs and 5"7.

I assume these will shrink further after a hot wash?

yes, I guess some shrinkage will occur with a real wash. but from the pic it looks like you don't have to fear that

Yeah, it's because the waist is fairly snug and the hips have some excess room. I guess you could say it's hip-flare, but not that noticable in real life. I like the fit overall. The 19oz is amazing

one could always size down to avoid the excess material around the bum...as long as you legs fit the jeans

and I wouldn't count the fit above as an example of hip flare

Sizing down would kill my chance of having children. The waist is very snug as it is. After a wash it will shrink even further. Besides I normally don't wear my shirt tucked in hehe

^it wasn't an advise directly towards you just in general if someone fears the "hip flare" you get on the S710.

Btw, the boiling soak was below the crotch area. So I think the area that wasn't targeted with the boiling soak will shrink a fair bit after a hotwash.

samurai s5000bk 4 years old vs black knights ~1 year, impossible for me to really capture these. by any indication, i'm not even close to being done with the black knights and they look great

My heart felt a coldness rushing thru when I saw the picture of Pirates store. And at the same time, warmness when saw the pictures of jeans hanging and the rations prepared in boxes.
