Yes. The Black Knights don't look as black as the S5000BK and it seems to have more white in the weft.

Seems like I'm getting just a tad of hip flare, but I have a small ass so it can't be helped.

710 is really the fit I like. I just found the S5000 too much hip flare for my liking.

Yea I had to size up on my Black Knights because of the thighs being to snug pre soak, aside from the waist being a bit loose on my 34's and wearing a belt at the last notch they fit great everywhere else.

It does. For the time being, I'm going to not put a wallet in the back until everything settles a bit. But it does for me, even a normal sized LV one.

Since you're new I'll simplify this shit -- all unsanforized denim shrinks in approximately the following ways when hot washed:

1.5" - 2.0" in the waist diameter

0.25 - 0.5" in the thigh, rise, hip

2.5" - 3.0" in inseam length

All shrunken unsanforized denim has the ability to stretch back out to its raw measurement (and then some) if necessitated by that fat ass. Please buy Samurai jeans true to size.

I'm a newbie as well. When you say buy true to size, do you mean that if I measure myself as waist 30", I should buy the jeans with tag size 30" or buy the jeans with measured waist of 30"?

I'm guessing the latter since I've read that different lots will have different measurements even for jeans with the same tag size.

When people say true to size, they refer to getting the tag size that corresponds to your waist.

When sizing recommendations are made, they take into account the actual measure waist, along with any stretching and how much they expect the denim to shrink.

Typically for Samurai they will shrink and stretch back out to your true waist size +1 inch. In the case of Zero denim the S5000 series, it is best to size down 1 from your true waist due since that particular denim stretches more than usual.

so for any samurai its not going to stretch beyond the raw, so i should just buy to fit wash/shrink it deal with the pain for a week and then it'll be good

"VX 17oz" and the "texas cotton" are able to be stretched beyond their raw state. others might be able too, but I don't have any personal experience with it

my s710xx-19oz have stretched 1 inch past the raw measurements.

butwaist on my big usa's has only streched 1 inch

so diffeent denim = diffeent stretch even thou its the same company..
