The max shrinkage on these is 3" in the length and 1.25" in the waist. If you do a cold soak you'll get a bit less than that on your first soak and a little bit on your second soak/wash, but that won't matter much in the waist because they'll stretch out a bit by then.

fit pic of strike golds picked up from sesf

i had a pre-presoak hem done at sf. i did a cold soak afterwards, but the stacks are still pretty long, should i hem again?

other than that these jeans are awesome, love the texture of the denim.

I'd definitely do something. That stacking looks sloppy IMO.

I would keep the stacks instead of spending more money to get them hemmed. I am sure they will look fine after 2 weeks of use. If not get a hem, and I have seen worse stacks by a long shot.

Great fit except for the length. If you hot soak you'll shrink them maybe 2 inches but it looks like you'd need another 1-2 inches off on top of that and you'd still have enough room to cuff.

Knees will probably clean up a little as the denim breaks in and softens up, but to really make the fit look better, you should get them hemmed a couple of inches. That will help around the knees, too, since they can't hang properly with all that bunching around your ankles.

jeans need a serious hem job, other than that fit looks good

Can anyone give me an idea of shrinkage on the SG1103EX. I am a 36W, should I buy the 38 ?

cheers

You should be fine with 37W. My SG1103EX shrinked about 1.5 inches in the waist after a super hot soak. The waist will stretch about an inch after a week.

SG1103EX

Does anyone know what the EX in SG1103EX stands for or means?

Fresh from air drying.

I think the 1xxxEX is their heavy denim

as opposed to the 1xxx 15oz denim

can't wait to see yours in 6 months or so

your 634sr retired?

Thanks for that info. SR's will be set aside but I will occasionally wear them until they disintegrate.

what is Strike Golds Cut with the highest rise? Self Edge's and Klax-On's measurements are contradictory

All rise measurements for size 34

SE / Klax On

SG1101: 10,3" / 9,85"

SG1103: 12,9" / 11,4"

SG1105: 10,6" / 9,85"

SG1109: 11" / 9,45"

So what are your experiences?!

my 1103s have a significantly higher rise then my 1105s, which have pretty much the same rise as the 1101s ive tried on. 1103 fit pics are a few pages back

I wouldn't say those measurements are contradictory

they of course differ a bit

but both clearly suggest the 1103 has the highest rise

yeah..ok...but the measurements on the 1103 and 1109 differ 1,5" in the rise...and that's a lot IMO.

from SE's measurements the 1109 looks really good for a slim, tapered pair. Similar to the S710XX. I think SE's measurements are more correct
