looks like raw denim to me. or they could be one-wash, which is still dark jeans but just been through the washing cycle once (but no predistress so u can still get wear on them)

corned beef the 1969 are stretch and have been rinsed so they are technically not raw but if you treat them like they are they should get some nice fading.

i think the denim is better than 95% of what ive seen from the gap, the color and fit are great and the red and blue finished outseams (fake selvedge) are a nice. i have a pair that ive been wearing about 3 months now and they have some good whiskers, honeycombs, and patina going on and they have really kept their shape very well considering mine started off skintight. i wish they were button fly with a slightly higher rise but for the price they do the trick very well.
