The hems on my PBJs are roping like mad at some points at not much at all at others. Is this standard or should I wash them more? currently just past two months, one wash since i had them hemmed.

the roping effect isn't always uniform along the whole hem. it will develop more with wear/washing. wash how you will, but i can't tell a dude to wash for roping. its something that just happens. if you had the hemming done at BiG(especially by gordon) the roping will happen before long...they will rope more noticably if you wear them without a cuff for a while, since the inside of the hem will rub shoes/boots/etc. enjoy:D

finished soaking and I'm wearing the jeans as they dry, which they are just about done. The bottom of the legs however are wide and stiff and the openings are wide, is there any way to fix the boxyness, perhaps even shrink them?

they get softer over time and lose the boxyness. you can try soaking again and throwing them in the dryer for a bit and then take them out right before they are dry and let them air dry the rest of the way. that might take away the stiff feeling.

i've been thinking about buying the S0110XJ.

i love the slim/straight fit but i'm not sure if the fading is the best i can get.

what's some other good slim/straight jeans that fade really nice?

i don't want a tight ass area.

HEy doods I remember reading somewhere that sizing up would prevent the straining when lifting your knee. Is this true? Then again if I size up, wouldnt it just stretch to oblivion and eventually fall off without a belt?

One of the main things i look for in my denim is the ability to lift my knee, but I hate when my jeans dont allow me too. THats the reason why I abandoned my old nudies. Just begging for a crotch rip.

Im planning on buying a pair of sj's so should I size up or down? I tried em on already and could semi-left my knee, but with time wouldnt they become softer allowing me to lift my knee even higher?

So I got my Tellason strummer's tagged 34, were supposed to be a 35 true but were actually 36, then I soaked them and wore them damp and now they're 38. WTF! My true waist is like 35.5, guess I should have sized down one more, and I'm getting a really weird crotch bulge. Just poor sizing on my part or is there anything I can do to get them fitting correctly.

EDIT: So Tony from Tellason emailed me back saying the 34's were probably mis-tagged and are actually 36's. He's going to mail me a new pair that's the correct size, score. Much respect to that company and their customer service.

i have a quick question about denim

if i buy a pair of raw denim and dye it in black, what's gonna happen ? are they going to look cool like those overdyed jeans or totally retarded ?

if you have pictures that'd be even better but i doubt it.

thanks.

They will be black alright, and depending on the dye you use they will fade back slowly.

One problem is that if the stitching on your jeans are of the polyester kind, then they won't absorb the dye and stand out (yellow stitching on black jeans looks like crap).

Also your leatherpatch will also absorb dye.

Good luck
