Rigid W36: @1st hotsoak was 34.5” stretched out to 37” in just 1.5 days of wear, belt off.

I mean, I’m not proud that my paunch ballooned up from a 34.5”, pre-covid, but I’m happy for folks who are in dire need of a comfort stretch ....

My size ow 36 measured 42cm after a extra wash. After a day of wear with belt the waist now measure 44cm.

This could be me. My pair is raw. Fits fine in everyplace but waist. But after soaking, I’ll need at least a cm of stretch past raw. 
 

Has anyone’s pair stretched past raw waist dimensions?

@FurnitureMaker One full inch past raw.  At the end of the warm/hot soak,  briskly agitate the waistband to forcibly remove some starch & loosen up the fabric before hang drying.

Ina couple of days wear, repeat.

Day two, seeing a lot of indigo bleed on the top of the pocket opening.
It's raining out and not 100 degrees so i'm wearing the tux while working from home.

gave my 36 ow a hot wash and dry, still too big but the tucked in shirt helped. After a day they stretched  and needed a belt to have them not fall below my hips. Haven't decided if I am going to arc my pair or not. Trying to figure out if I can paint my front pocket or if I need to do a patch, love all the ones I've seen.

Chest: 22 in.
Shoulders: 20 in.
Length: 25 in.
Sleeves: 25 in.

Interesting Broark -- not especially large for a 46.  I haven't measured my one-wash 44, but it's trimmer than the 50s in the same size.  Wish I had gone raw on the 40s, but it's still very nice.

so for those denimbros of the future who wear their pockets out, to act out the intricate pain of pattern matching...

and for sizing talk...

refrained from much of the debate until I had my pair in hand...

but some measurements and relatives...

so 38 one wash out of the packet in cm:

w. 45.5-46 / fr. 35.5 / thigh. 32 / hem. 22.5

but a wee dampening, manual tug and then an afternoon of wear got waist straight to 38" dimension (feels as if it may go further...)

and then some pix with tcb 20s (also 38w - washed and worn)

and with a pair of tcb 50s (sized 36 washed and worn)

or to repeat what I said earlier in the thread; I find, in my experience, that tcb jeans, if washed and worn tend to end up at their tagged waist size...

[assuredly these have yet to go through a home wash, but they feel like there is lots of room to give in the material...]

so in my experience, this pair, at this size, is no different to other tcb pairs I have had, regardless of their chart info... [perhaps they need to update the chart as washed and worn...]

Thiago! He's a Brazilian terrier, so it made sense to give him a Brazilian name. I don't care about football (soccer) but men always ask me if he's named after some famous player. Truth is I named him after the cute exchange student in my class in high school.

so please ignore my boringness: but all around 17cm top from edge to edge, but yes, the s40s have a 2cm worth of stitching by the rivet (comp. to 50s c.1.5 and 20s 1) so reduced opening even if pocket seems slightly larger ...
