Will the jacket have the contest patch as well? I'm definitely going to order the jeans but not sure if I'll be able to swing the jacket as well. I have some things for sale on eBay that will hopefully sell and give me the funds to get both. But worst case scenario I could always order the jacket later when I'm back to work and can afford it.

the jacket will have the contest patch yes, and yes you can always order that later on, the only difference with the jacket will be the patch. take it easy!

This makes me feel good about ordering the sz 31– same size as my 50s and I did size down to a 30 on the 20s

How much stretch should we expect in the waist? Thinking of getting a pair for my 13-yr old son and considering size 30 or 31 (he's currently wearing jeans that have a 37cm waist)... I expect he's going to grow quite a bit during the contest (he's better...) He'll probably crush us wrt fades & evo.

re hemming and shrinkage on my raw pair. Might help a little with peoples decisions:

'Rigid/Post wash calculation is okay i guess.

the shrinkage rate is 92% so your desired length post wash: 82cm / 0.92

→89.1　is how we calculate but adding some buffer might be the better option 

so we'll hem the jeans at 89.5cm'

 

I also asked for a RAW jacket which they said they can do, However; it can't be exchanged if it's the wrong size.
