Warehouse World Tour - The magnificent bunch

The weekend trip to Berlin was short and busy - not much time for pictures, had to buy a car for the wife.

Had a coffee on Sunday...



...and managed to pack a little Xmas package for Volvo.



Back in Moscow December has started and that means the countdown begins. This year the countdown is supported by my Gin calendar - 24 days to end with a gin.





Day 1 starts off with the base spirit...



The next 23 days will add (cold infusion) only a single, typical gin spice, herb or ingredient to the base gin in order to explore an isolated effect. My guess is that for Xmas there will be a full-blown gin.
(Day 2 showcased juniper.)

That is an absolutely fantastic idea for a gin calendar. So far, I had only seen the "standard" ones, with a different Gin (or whatever drink you like) in each door. Slowly adding the different botanicals should be a great experience and makes me want one.

 

With seeing all this gin and remembering MaxPower's whisky cabinet, maybe we should start a liquor thread...

Got the standard gin calendar for a friend and the special one for me.

Thought it sounded like a neat idea.

Don't get me started on whisky, gin, tonic water, vermouth or pineau (des Charentes)...

Flying to Vienna tonight.

Got half a day in Vienna tomorrow, before we move on to Graz for the weekend.

Will try to take some decent pictures while in Austria...

So, on Thursday we left work early to hop on a direct flight from Moscow to Vienna.

We arrived late at night - here is a picture from the Vienna Opera House at night which was just around the corner...

We got up early next morning for a little sightseeing on a grey day.

We went to Cafe Demel for breakfast (and coffee & cake)...

Still have a few updates from last weekend - I'm slow, please bear with me.

I knew Vancouver has a huge film industry, but didn't know to that extent. That was a really cool watch, and I will do some research and find some cool spots from movies/shows that were filmed here.

after our little breafast we continued our little sightseeing and window shopping tour through Vienna...







we walked by the famous Cafe Sacher...



we walked across the xmas market...



finally, we had to head back to the car to continue our day with a road trip near Graz...where we arrived at a friends place. just in time for family dinner!

next morning's sunrise was beautiful...






...and we had a first look at the house, as we arrived late at night.

breakfast was a similar affair compare to the previous dinner and we made our way to Graz for some more sightseeing afterwards...

this night's dinner was the big affair as it was a dear friends birthday party...





a little too "out-there" for my liking, but cool none-the-less!

next morning woke us up with another nice sunrise...









breakfast was amazing (again), but I was not willing/able to take pictures any longer.
we had to drive back to to Vienna right after breakfast in order to catch our plane. the dirve to the airport was quite foggy...

As this stop of the tour comes to an end, here are the final fit pictures...

Overall, a great cut with all the right details.

Amazing denim! Not easy to take off after all this time...

...I wore them every day, but one. (I had to "test drive" a new pair of FullCounts.)

While they are getting a wash in order to get them send to Canada, I am having a farewell drink - Prost!

(Will try to take daylight pictures of the washed jeans tomorrow before shipping them.)
