That's a real good and fantastic price!!!

And you can get super great fadings on this jacket, if never washed as long as possible (if ever)

ok, I appreciate this is quite specialist but this is really annoying me...does anyone know why some 506XX (type 1) jackets have a vertical seam running down the back and some don't??? I have seen this feature on both 30's and 40's silver and bronze buckle models most commonly without the seam... doesn't seem to be any consistency which I find strange for such a classic jacket design. Maybe LVC have picked up on this? do the LVC jackets have the vertical seam?

i really want a raw denim jacket but is there anything that has a reasonable price ~100 USD??

Short answer...not really.

Azalea had the nudie terry anniversary jacket on sale for $112. It's a pretty damn good jacket for that price but unless you're a medium there's none left. Also if you are a large, Azalea has a n&f jacket on sale for 70. Regularly they are $140. Factor in a coupon somewhere and that's like $110.

If you're lucky you can find an APC jacket on ebay or the marketplace for a benjamin every blue moon. Those are decent.

If you prowl around ebay and the market, you might find a decent steal on a used or lightly worn vintage or vintage repro. Read through this thread. Lots of people get lucky on ebay picking up random vintage pieces on the cheap. It's kind of shooting in the dark but if you're patient you might find something you like.

The really good jackets, barring you find a super deal on ebay or something, are typically in the $200+ range.

Levi's dry trucker jacket down to 70 from 84. The full range of sizes is available. Also, Levi's is running free shipping until sunday so if you're interested now is the perfect time to pick one up. I actually just ordered one for myself yesterday because I've been dying for a raw jean jacket but can't really afford the more expensive ones either.

No.

I ordered one of those during the 40% off sale on black Friday because I was like fuck it its like 30$. Then I got it and its a paper thin POS. I returned it to the store the next day and the clerk said lots of people have brought them back for the same reason. I have a 4$ Thrift store levi black jean jacket and the denim is most likely 3x thicker and more substantial than the new ones. Save your money.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this kind of lining in the sleeves in a Storm Rider? I never have. Would it help date the jacket?

This was mid seventies and it was not so seldom in the United States

It was just a variation of the typical Lee Storm Rider denim jacket

And yes it was after the lJ-101 era (with or without MR and/or R )

Thanks Reudi! I wore the jacket all weekend, and fell in love all over again!

I own this jacket. It's not bad. Craftsmanship is okay and the dying is fairly well done. But it is no way worth $70. I actually have it on ebay right now for $20 to give you an idea of how much I think it's worth.

cheap Gap black overdyed jacket. It had that waffle/thermal lining shit on the inside but it was more of a nuisance than warm, so i ripped it, and the label/tags out of it. one wash so far, but its getting smelly from shows and drunkenness and whatnot. i'm turning it into my patch jacket. i've got a few more patches i've been procrastinating putting on, and there will always be room for more.

to give you an idea of the fading going on, its really hard to capture with my cell camera though. the blue is just barely starting to peak through.

Levis Trucker I used as a shirt.. That was over Ten years ago.. I believe it's from the 60's/70's, but I don't recognize the Levi's button code on the back Shanks (52). It's so old, Everything is faded but the "Made in the U.S.A. on the care tag.
