My pair doesn't have a ton of wear yet, especially since I am only wearing them nights and weekends. But I've still been doing lots of stuff in them. Here's a few pics to make up for the inactivity.

Sandy wasn't too bad in Pittsburgh, so we weathered the storm at our favorite tex mex place.

I love Krispy Kreme, and they aren't easy to find in the western half of PA. I stumbled across this one just as the "Hot Doughnuts" sign was turned on. It's the orange neon sign in the pic for the unfamiliar, and it means they are making a fresh batch of glazed doughnuts.

Coming off the line. They are possibly the best doughnuts ever.

A friend of a friend couldn't use their season tickets for the Steelers v. Ravens game a few weeks back. I was floored at how good the seats were, and the game was like any other Steelers v. Ravens game: first team to 13 wins, and defense rules the day. It was nice to see them go into altimore yesterday and come out with a win.

Of course, a Pittsburgh event just isn't right until you have a Primanti Bros. sandwich. The sandwich consists of two thick slices of Italian bread, a cheesesteak patty, cheese, tomato, coleslaw, and french fries. Way better than it sounds, and twice as good as it looks. Pittsburgh does two things really well: football and sandwiches.

I also saw this storefront in Greensburg, PA, which is a tiny little town a bit outside of Pittsburgh. I was plenty surprised, since 90% of the population is like 60+.

I'll get some update shots up as soon as I can take some decent pics of the jeans. I love them on the whole, and the consensus that this denim is like wearing sweatpants is pretty much spot on. I also love the hairiness and the quick crocking aspects of this denim. I'm seeing lighter blues pop up, but I doubt I'll be able to capture them.

Great stuff everyone! Just realized that I have been away (from Sufu in general) for way too long! I will try to summarize the highlights of the past 2 months with poorly taken pictures! Hooray!

Firstly, a few pictures from my recent (okay, not so recent, was 2 months ago) trip to Batam for a quick getaway with my girl.

At the largest temple in Southeast Asia, we spotted this interesting Buddha statue...

And this.

2012-10-25111930.jpg

It was sunny and quite hot throughout, but it's better than rain.

2012-10-25113130.jpg

Nothing much happened, but I got a wedgie...

2012-10-27113447-1.jpg

After 5 minutes of Flying Fox 'agony', this guy gave me hope that I (hopefully) can still have children in the future...

Better idea of the jeans...

Finally, with Christmas just round the corner, my office had a Christmas decoration competition. We had to try to use recycled materials and not spend too much.

Our creepy-looking Santa

The whole setup

A much better Christmas decoration...

Crooked picture is more artistic right? ;)

Anomali Coffee is the local coffeeshop franchise that speciallise in locally (Indonesian) grown coffee.

I like it very much!

ibnYWhW74JC7dZ.JPG

Pretty nicely decorated, feels like I am in a coffee warehouse

(as if I been in one hehe)

Note: the writing on the wall says "real Indonesian Coffee"

Got a tasty cup of Mocha, not the crap from Starbucks.

(Their version should not even be called Mocha, the watery consistency urghhh... )

ibla88mkYOruMj.JPG

They have a taste chart for each region's coffee, pretty serious stuff.

Gloomy view from the window, not much sun these days :(

Denim + Coffee is always a winner combination. :)

Do you guys have any favorite local Coffee place?

They are located in the Waterfront Plaza. I think they are the only restaurant there that isn't a large chain, and the food really is delicious. I'm fairly certain everything is made fresh, and the tamales are amazing (right side of the pic, smothered in their chili-type sauce).

The place is called Gran Agave, and the address is 152 East Bridge Street Homestead, PA 15120. It's right by the Improv.

Basically, their food is tex mex done by people who know real Mexican cuisine. Way better than the other tex mex places in Pittsburgh.

congrats again to my man up top...its a special thing that jeans can be a part of important events in our life, and that we can share for others all the way around the world (tied by denim bonds) is even cooler. pardon the hippy denim talk.

full blown christmas season, only thing missing is the snow! went to check out the christkindlmarket in daley, a seasonal tradition for my gf and i....gotta get those roasted nuts!

random shot not near the market...taken by the civic opera building, that red and green lighting in the back is a part of the infamous merchandise mart (will most likely do a "photo shoot" there sometime for the thread)...while not necessarily thought of as a river city, chicago has a very high concentration of bridges that are still raised often when the boats come in and out during the warmer seasons...i always suggest some sort of river/architecture tour if youre in town...

headed over to state street for further christmas decor viewing...this is the old marshall field's building (now macy's, but i'll always remember picking up some frango and eating chicken soup in the basement growing up), which always sets up displays in their windows

8254212036_c15bc30e98_z.jpg

8254211230_c0e90fae5b_z.jpg

random tina turner lookalike was performing as everyone on the street yelled "you go girllll"

8253137899_8e5fbfd2b7_z.jpg

inside marshall field's

8253136485_b376c2941c_z.jpg

you'll recognize the tiled ceiling from one of their window displays above

8254208622_091b15fdd4_z.jpg

and a view of the oriental theater and block 37 (which has always been a "no action zone" historically....hopefully the businesses inside will be able to turn things around and bring life back to the block...beard papa's in the basement helps but it's still been a slow few years since opening)

8253137169_1271b3b1ca_z.jpg

and finally, more random lights

and from today...ate at epic burger, which seems to be dodgy depending on which location you goto. not the best, but sometimes you just need a warm burger to fill you up, and this hit the spot...too many nights in a row of quinoa and healthier eating at home brings it out of me (hah, you wouldnt believe it). if i was epic, i'd work on the actual beef patties, make it medium rare, and possibly add avocado!

8254206322_8f744ac4c5_z.jpg

more views of the waterways, and how buildings sprouted up all over the more industrial surroundings...scopin' sears tower in the distance (never "willis tower" in my heart!):

8254207032_755439d2fb_z.jpg

and what you all really want to see, the jeans! (yes, hobo laces haha!)

8254205394_8e53377e0e_z.jpg

i hope ryo and hiro are enjoying the tour, we're just a few months underway but i'm really enjoying the comfort of this denim!
