^Nice. You know, I wish I had asked if they would include a Tailor tag, then snipped it. Goddam that would be some dope shit.

Does anyone remember the Bond marathons during the holidays in the 90's? Those were incredible, kept me in front of the TV for hours.

I remember that. It was the big push for the video releases. I never bought them but you could get a whole rack of matching Bond slipcovers for your VHS library haha.

hey all. greetings from france!

the lady friend and i are currently on a late summer holiday in montalivet, a small beach town off the atlantic ocean about 2 hours northwest of bordeaux. late in the tourist season, the town is virtually empty and we're enjoying some much needed R&R. but no rest for the wicked, i suppose, as i'm also spending some time catching up on freelance writing projects that have piled up in the states.

jeans are doing well - fabric is settling in oh so nicely. just a quick update for now - expect more later i guess. nothing awfully exciting, just lots of wine and cheese ha.

front of our beach villa - a lovely verandah:

Lunch today.

20120929_143312.jpg

Smoked, chopped pork with a vinegar based sauce (only found in Eastern NC), brunswick strew, corn stick, hush puppies, southern sides, sweet tea... what I grew up eating, it's definitely on the "last meal" level for me.

Nearly a month with these jeans already, that was fast.

It was a pretty packed weekend for me, with one of my friends getting married. I was honored to be invited to her photoshoot and wedding dinner on Friday.

It was a nice, cozy affair, and I was extremely impressed with my friend, for being the most chill bride ever.

It's not easy to find nice nature-y places in Singapore for pictures, but she managed.

Like I said, she was pretty chill, and this is what I wore to the dinner.

i know this is directly related to this contest at all, but felt the obligation to introduce the fantastic clothing brand called "Boncoura."

first of all, this the designer/owner/producer of the brand, Mr. Morishima.

Colle_image09.jpg

he produces clothes made from vintage fabrics, and they are absolutely marvelous.

these are some fading samples of Boncoura Jeans.

aren't they beautiful?

and i just had buy this vest worn by Mr. Morishima above.

this piece was the last one in the stock!

df8e1ef00bbb11e2b8f122000a1e9e4c_7.jpg

small details like zipper fly, buttons, rivets are all brand original.

ebc3a93c0ab311e2ac8422000a1de2a2_7.jpg

this one went sold out in couple hours in Loftman Osaka.

I wished he had a piece available, but he didn't.

he told me that there might one available in Sapporo, so i am destined to search this vest.

of course this is also made from vintage fabric.

i should be posting some fit pics with this vest and the ooe jeans.

i also showed my ooe pair, and he was interested in the jeans produced by ooe.

sorry for a long boring post, but i just had reflect on a wonderful weekend with Boncoura!

One month in seventeen to go. I don't seem to wear my jeans as hard as some people, so not a massive amount of evo yet.

The painted arcs are starting to wear off

Evo to the seam edges on the seat. This denim has become super hairy.

Whiskers just starting to be distinguishable.

Roping and heal bite coming through

The copper rivets have started to discolour

^ yes these do become hairier and hairier as they go. I've never had a pair of jeans do that.

Run-of-the-mill updates

I haven't had much living to contribute. I took a break from the grind over the weekend for my 11th anniversary. Didn't bring a camera along for anything. We had dinner and alot of traditional stuff...but these were by far the funnest thing I did for her. Watching her open these was a real highlight of the day lol.

Hey Ignaurus, just curious. How did you get pictures of your jeans on the ground, and a fit pic, in what looks to be like the same location, if you don't mind me asking? Hahaha!

Flash, no need to reiterate, but as b_f said, fit's good.

Hope I will have more interesting things in the works to keep this thread going!

^^^ Nice bag rkusmant! Where's it from?

I don't do much in my daily life, and Singapore is not know for much, except perhaps like what aho mentioned before, the food (and maybe fines, and caning, and being 'litter-free', etc...).

Here's what my friend and I had for dinner last night.

My mushroom sauce chicken with sausages, with sides of fries and garlic spaghetti.

D3B1CFA7-7FAA-426F-93C6-59DE4E3DAE06-4642-000004ABC7C9AD9D.jpg

And her ladies' cut sirloin, with baked potato and onion rings.

8A7F4ADF-FC93-41FD-A207-4D746BAE3673-4642-000004ABCF346A40.jpg

Doesn't look like much, but an okay meal. Not too sure about the rest of the world, but I would think that it is difficult to find decent food at these prices elsewhere: the chicken was SGD9.50, and the sirloin was SGD14 oddish, all in.

This morning, I spotted some fading going around the coin pocket.

That's all. Thank you for looking!
