soaked my brand new fh 1001 in hot water for 45 minutes. Do you guys think it's too tight? should I get them hemmed?

anyway, I saw some of flathead jeans got this halfline arc just like bsp's

but they both pointed in to the middle of the jeans (right backpocket's arc pointed to the left, and the left arc is the other way around)

is this a limited run of flathead or what? and do they still sell it?

easy as beans. just did on my s5001. took under 10mins.

I couldnt find stitch breaker, pocket knife and fork work just fine

i dont remember what i used. i think i used scissors and a pointy metal tip. its very easy. the arcs fall off after some wear also so you shouldn't really worry too much. good luck!

Hi all.

I tried on a size 28 and 30(F310). managed to button both up. but size 28 is too small and tight and 30 is alittle loose through out the jeans.

Ordered size 29(1001) at self edge. Should be coming within days. Was worried that the measurements on websites shows different measurements. Therefore, are the F310 and 1001 of the exact same cut?

Another question would be. upon soaking, the jeans will shrink. However with wear. how much will the whole jeans stretch?(waist thigh knees). Do they stretch an extra inch or half from tagged size(Not from post soak measurements but pre soak)?

Would appreciate any reply.

Yes, F310 and 1001 are same cut. Waist will probably stretch 2 inches or so, thighs and knees like maybe .5 inch. depends if they are tight. The tighter they are, they more they will stretch.

if they are tight, it wont be uncommon for the jean to stretch out in those areas to pre-soak measurments

for 1001, that's quite loose after the hot soak, they should be a little bit more tight considering the stretch after wears, but if you're happy with that, rock 'em hard..

I don't know, any tighter and they might not look all that great (although they will stretch...) I think its a good size but then again I'm into loose and comfortable...
