  1. Scraping paint in 91 degrees (33 Celsius). Yes, it was so much fun. Ok, I only did the tack room and the outbuilding. The barn was done with pressure washer on a boom truck. Luckily, I had several enthusiastic helpers. Iron Heart 888s.

  2. @MJF9 very nice! I’ll continue with the Belafonte theme (just with a different fabric).

  4. These have had two more washes and a few weeks of consistently hard wear since my last update a month ago; they really broke in after this last wash I think. Before and after:

  6. Hardly wear them anymore, but they'll probably always be my favorites. Nothing rare, limited, hard to get...just classic.

  9. Been going through my piles of vintage and among the Wranglers, 501s and 517s I found these no name four pocket genes. Made in USA, 80% Cotton 20% Poly, bit of stretch, deep dark indigo, nice grain and color, double arcuates, no coin pocket YKK zip and a killer fade. Fit is very slim with a soft bootcut, and a fairly deep rise. Pretty close to the cotton blend 517s of the era with lighter weight denim. Hemmed at exactly my inseam too. Any guesses on the maker? Probably a house brand from JCPenny or K-Mart me thinks. Same old vest R Crumb Robert Johnson Tee Vintage novelty belt Vintage 70s Mystery denim Vintage Cowboy boots

  14. Somewhere around 8-9 months wear on these, mostly kinda sedentary wear as I’m doing a lot of painting projects for work nowadays and would rather wear my coveralls. I like how they’re coming along though!

  16. Yes to your question. One thing to keep in mind though is that if you don't go TTS the silhouette will be slimmer and not true to how it was originally intended to look stylistically. If that doesn't bother you, then go for the size down. Myself i could have gone a size down but decided to stick TTS.

  17. Pre-wash measurements for the 504xx size 46. Chest: 27.5 in. Shoulder: 24 in. Sleeve: 25 in. Length: 32 in. And post warm wash plus some time in the dryer. Chest: 25.75 in. Shoulder: 23 in. Sleeve: 24 in. Length: 30 in. I think this shrank up perfectly, when trying it on unwashed I was sure that it wouldn't shrink enough. Denim is lightweight and pliable after the wash and dry, I can see myself wearing this a lot once fall rolls around. Still trying to determine the best place to take fit pics in the new house, excuse the crappy angle (and shoe boxes that I need to put away). L2: This might be my ideal jacket for spring / fall, very lightweight and ample room for layering if I want to throw a sweatshirt on underneath.
