First real day in the M41059 I always assumed these were the same denim as the M41058, but I don’t think that’s the case. They look very similar, and feel similar when raw, but after a wash these feel a lot more crunchy & rougher than I remember the M41058 feeling; I think they may have also shrunk more, although I didn’t take any measurements this time around to confirm. My best guess is that they use the same (or a very similar) initial denim but that the version for the M41058 is sanforized, while the denim for the M41059 is either fully unsanforized or only lightly sanforized. Can any Wrangler history buffs comment on whether this shift would check out from a historical perspective? In any case, really looking forward to seeing how these age in comparison. feat. Washed my Slash jeans yesterday, posting pre and post wash measurements for anyone interested. Plan is to rotate them in with the WoM contest jeans. The most interesting detail I'm noticing post wash is how dense the top of the back pocket openings are, similar to a pair of Roy's jeans but wider. I'm guessing he folds the fabric several times when constructing the back pockets. Also the denim is quite dense and heavy post wash. I'll take some post wash pictures and I'll likely start a dedicated brand thread soon. Unwashed Waist: 38 in. Front rise: 14 in. Back rise: 17.75 in. Thigh: 14.5 in. Knee: 11 in. Hem: 10 in. Inseam: 32 in. Warm soaked for an hour and then a quick trip through the washing machine on cold / gentle cycle. Waist: 36 in. Front rise: 13.25 in. Back rise: Thigh: 14 in. Knee: 10.5 in. Hem: 9.5 in. Inseam: 30 in.14 points

Hard to imagine that we still have 12 months left! Here's some post wash photos of my pair, probably going to start rotating other pairs in so these don't get too washed out before the end of the contest.11 points

Think this is some of the heaviest fades I've come across so far of the Warehouse Greenbaum denim. Getting cigarette burn repair at Rockets https://www.instagram.com/p/DLRA2K-TWNK/?img_index=14 points

I got a pair of the 675xx a little while back. The pattern of the jeans just doesn't fit me right, and the pocket bags are pretty small. It's a shame because they are a nice looking pair of jeans.2 points

Just got back from vacation visiting my parents in Florida, first time traveling with our daughter and she did great! I've heard it gets much more difficult once they're a little older so we decided to take this trip now. Didn't wear the jeans much outside of travel days, but giving them another wash today so I'll update with post wash pics. Got some crazy rain in central Texas while we were away, came back home to our roof slightly leaking but fortunately nothing was damaged. Taking it all in. Walking to the beach with Pawpaw. She really loved the sound of the ocean and did well in the pool too! Always eat as much seafood as I can whenever I'm near the ocean. Saffron and seafood risotto. Grilled out for the 4th. So long, until next time. Heading home. Pups on the ride back home, Rooney has to stay in kennel jail because he's too crazy in the car...2 points

Groover also do some 50s style acetate frames with wire nose pads. Not sure if they’re as nice as Hakusan but they do seem to have a few North Americans / overseas stockists https://spectacles.groover.tv/dealers/1 point

I just couldn’t let these 30s contest jeans sit! @theguywhoknewthatguy had these listed in the sale section for a few months and thought someone else would join us, so I waited patiently. No one snapped them up! So I guess I have a 2nd pair of contest jeans-hope I’m not doing anything illegal! Cant imagine wearing them as much as my original pair, but we’ll see. #1921 point

Making some space. Too many denim jackets. Cushman Type 2 Lot 21352 size 42 I've soaked this jacket. It might shrink a little bit more with a hot wash, but probably not much. For the bigger sizes T-structure was used or often for the type 2 sizes 42 and 44 side panels. This one has the side panels. 13.5oz selvedge denim. As you can see on the pics it has that relatively irregular structure as it has been woven on vintage shuttle looms. Approximate measurements: shoulder to shoulder: 49 cm (19.3“) pit to pit: 57 cm (22.44“) back length: 61.5cm (24.2“) shoulder to cuff (sleeve): 64.5cm (25.4“) As I've been focussing on my other jackets, this one has only seen a handful of wears. This had cost me around EUR 275. Looking for EUR 195+ shipping. Cushman's founder is seen here wearing the same jacket in the embroidered version. A pic from Barnstormers some more details Fading potential of the jacket and the jeans from the same denim (Lot 22177)1 point

Random comparison of the so called 1st ever Levi's leather label from the repro lvc jacket (and vest) from 2000/2001 and the last version of this label, from a couple of years ago(?) The latter version is correct for 1873, as the earlier label states renewal in 1875, so can't be from 1873. Plus the thicker felt tip pen marking the size on the earlier pieces looks a little goofy whereas the newer label looks more authentic imo1 point

Sorry to be posting more of the same, but here's some more shots taken indoors which show the denim colour and texture a bit better. Will have to get some nice shots using a proper camera one day. Like l said before, Love these. The 506XX jacket has got hardly any wear when compared to the jeans but does share some of the nice puckering... First post with pics that haven't been Sufu'd. I'm having a beer!1 point

My jeans are finally getting to that "matte feel" now. Especially during summer, it always feels like they will start to accelerate in fading when it reaches that arbitrary status. Could be totally placebo.1 point

Posting these following a short discussion in the general questions thread. I was looking for some pleated chinos that were available in these three colours. They’re Spellbound French Trousers. Super nice fabric, softens up really good after a wash. Very high waisted and pretty wide leg but they’re exactly what I was looking for. Tried to do different outfits to show how versatile they are:1 point

speaking of old Fxxx and pioneer v. frontier... from the dark ages and at one point having a pair of both F380 and F350 (which were still the best patterned pair i've worn). was doing a little closet cleaning and found this pair in an old bin... wish i would have had some foresight about 17 years ago and bought about 4 more pairs of these... dig that pocket shape1 point
