I’ve been feeling similar, but for me I think it’s less to do with the seasons and more to do with the jeans I’m wearing. Tender tops are really polarizing for me, in that they can either feel really fantastic or just sort of weird and out of place depending on how I style them, without a lot of middle ground. They feel best with wider jeans (and, frankly, bestest with Tender jeans), so wearing the slimmer Word of Mouth contest jeans most days has just meant that my Tender tops don’t see much use, which is a bummer. That said, becoming more cognizant of this sort of pattern was a big part of why I was interested in committing to the contest in the first place, so I can hardly complain: it’s already been a good learning experience. ~ to keep things on topic ~ Great Lakes bag + hat, Tender shades, The Vanishing West jacket, Union Special shirt, Hollows belt, contest jeans, Russell mocs12 points

Forgot about this one, languishing in the back of the coat cupboard. (Vintage) Levis Vintage Clothing 1873 Duck vest, which together with the duck hunters jacket and pants, we're some of the best pieces made by Lvc around 1999-2001. This one has had a soak and been taken in a little at the back either side of the centre seam as it was a bit baggy for my tastes and it was first worn back in the summer of 2018, when l built my own shed. Those bottom pockets were ideal for holding screws etc as l've never been a big fan of tool belts, but this was great over a vest-top worn with shorts. Think there's a pic buried deep in the Waywt thread somewhere. Not worn it since but you never know it may come in handy once more in the future. Have no idea how that lightened area came about, but it happened in storage back in the early 2000's. Pics have been randomly Sufu'd for no apparent reason again so apologies for that5 points

To all. Jealous of you who can wear denim during these temps, especially here in the UK. I have hardly worn any denim since May and will probably hardly wear any until September/October time when the daytime temps become more bearable. This has become a growing trend with me, just living in vest tops or t-shirts and shorts (none of it denim 😁) when the warmer months come and donning jeans more October until April time. I don't think it's climate change, rather something that's just occurred since entering my 50's(?). So with this new parameter coupled with my worsening feet problems means my denim takes a lot longer to fade 😢 Luckily l probably have enough worn-in jeans to last a very long time. So more so living vicariously through you lot these days. Keep up the good work everyone!2 points

Sorry to be posting more of the same, but here's some more shots taken indoors which show the denim colour and texture a bit better. Will have to get some nice shots using a proper camera one day. Like l said before, Love these. The 506XX jacket has got hardly any wear when compared to the jeans but does share some of the nice puckering... First post with pics that haven't been Sufu'd. I'm having a beer!2 points

0105 after 18 months of regular wear. Pretty satisfied with these but unlikely to consider another pair due to the excessive back rise (you can see some fade lines on the yoke due to the sag). Something I pay more attention to now... still, they are the most comfortable jeans I've owned and a super versatile cut overall. Plenty of missing threads and some heavy wear on the cuffs. Not sure what size these are as the patch had a 33 but the inner tag has a 32 – anyone else have this on their pair? Peek-a-boo:2 points

Yep, although l never wore all three pieces, especially at the same time. I had several pairs of the 1873 duck pants over the years, think I wore two pairs (a 34 and a 36) and sold the rest. I sold the coat to red Chris, where he added some buttons then promptly sold it. Only kept the vest.1 point

@chicote both the 147 and the 162 jeans below are w34, both washed at 30C, line dry only. The 162 have seen more action and are softer due to that but would be anyway as the denim is stretchier. The 147 is nipped more at the waist (not sure the pics show it up, but a few others above and previously have said the same, and @smoothsailor's pics above give a hint at this), plus the denim on the 147 waistband is double thickness and is also a consideration. Fine margins, I know, but worth noting. Timeworn direct are helpful for sure as Alec says, but I think other members have reported they have got it slightly wrong on length and shrinkage, so worth erring on the side of caution imo... 147 1621 point

Never underestimate the power of sufu.. I’m down at Morrisons now, buying pizzas for the weekend.. They have a new touchscreen so I don’t have to engage with the staff.. I just type in my pizza order, go pick up some bits ‘b bobs, call back and collect with no uncomfortable interactions and no anxiety freak outs..1 point

Vintage Lvc ephemera, all from the earlier Levis Vintage Clothing era, 1996-2005. Apart from the flashers, waist labels and booklets, there are some early promo/info cards which were apparently available to retailers in the first wave of repros from Levi's back in 1996. There's also a remembrance day promo offer from Cinch in London for this WW2 jeans, tee and duffle bag.1 point

since for me everything started with LVC, no wonder they are among my oldest repros: 1950s Sawtooth Shirt, notice the long, what I would call front skirts / tails. I couldn't find out the purpose (maybe for bending backwards while on a Rodeo-Horse back) of it, since one would instinctively think that the back part should be longer, which is not uncommon for other vintage / antique shirt's... however this detail makes them a little less wearable untucked. This shirt was one of 4 deadstock shirts which a had the fortune of to acquire along with a rather large stash of deadstock Valencia Street Era 1955s 501xx repros a few years back... in time I have to post those too.1 point

Hoping these can find a home for somebody psyched on the WoM contest since it’s still relatively early days. I paid ~$350 USD for these and I’m asking $250 USD. These have been worn less than 10 times total and have been machine washed and partially machine dried. Inseam may look a little short but I’m 5'11" and these easily hit my shoes uncuffed and with a small cuff. Word of Mouth 611 37 Waist (waistbands aligned, not cinched) 17.25” Front Rise 11.5” Back Rise 16.5” Upper Thigh (at crotch seam) 13.75” Inseam 29” Hem 9.5”1 point

Very nice! I love the B-6 he made for me. The collar on yours is a nice flourish, but the zipped pockets would bug me. On the subject of JC and GW, I visited him today. He's a very congenial guy and of course absolutely passionate about his craft. My slot is coming up and I placed an order for one of his civilian jackets. I did try the cross zip Mojave I had tried on in 2021. It still fits. Too bad it has an owner...1 point
