Rare piece recently picked up by one of the Lee collectors l follow on lg - 1940-42 Lee Hair on hide 101 Cowboy pants. These are the only pics to surface atm but l will add more hopefully at a later date. Apart from the rarity of a pair in Nos condition, this is the first time l've ever seen this copyright 1940 pocket label. Wow17 points

I'm dropping a few more photos that I captured of the M41001, which I missed the first time. Jeans are now in process of being shrunk. I will show the before and after measuring tape photos of the waist along with fit once they've fully air dried (probably later in weekend or next week). The back of all the fly buttons are stamped with "S"10 points

So it started with Texture. Then Voluminous jeans with texture. Then Heavy voluminous jeans with texture. Then Dark heavy voluminous jeans with texture… anyway you know how it can spiral… I’ll do the Sugar Cane Hawaii post soon for further proof of that 😉 Anyhow these 17oz Samurai S3100VX WW2 model landed today… and they’re ace. They meet the brief perfectly. Great service from Daniel at DC4 in Berlin... and lovely hemming to boot... using actual Samurai thread so it’s all matchy-matchy… I’m going with one big 3-inch fuck-off bucket cuff... no stopping me... 😀10 points

This is my latest work, a briefcase/folio. This somehow has less pieces of leather than @Duke Mantee's bag - but with big pieces like this it's easier to have one piece of leather than having to do more long stitch lines. Especially when you're dumb like me and decided to use 2.7mm irons for a bag. Learned lots, got better at perlage (setting rivets and making them look not shit) and decided I like French stitching clams.6 points

Here’s a list of my vintage repros (from 2005 and earlier). As most are stored away, I’ll dig them out and add some photos when I can, some are already on other threads. In chronological order of production date (where known): Levi’s Japan 503 BSXX: 1991 Levi’s Japan 503 B: 1994 Go West 0502 DI: early-mid 1990s, probably 1994 Denime (unknown hybrid 50s/60s model with red selvedge): pre-1998 LVC 1944: 1999 Sugar Cane M41326: 2000 Edwin Waynesville: 2005 Denime Tokyo: unknown, possibly 2005 Fob Factory F198: unknown, but the details on these make me think pre-2006 Sugar Cane Okinawa: unknown, but they have the remains of a red tag that has been removed. Could be pre-2006?3 points

Really tempting, trying to decide if I really need anything though. Looks like we've got 3 vests, a pair of 01s in the dull XX-4 fabric, two shades of duck 1890s trousers and a pair in denim as well. I still have a raw pair of 01s from last year's Inspiration and while I like the design of the 1890s trousers they might be difficult for me to adjust to being left handed.3 points

^For me creasing set in quickly, but I'm also thinking my unintended extra wash from the get go (3 total at this point) helped ease things up because they weren't showing much wear until then. I was planning on holding out for as long as possible between washes for higher contrast, but now I'm thinking I'll just wash whenever/regularly since the creasing is set (and admittedly the faster these fade, the sooner I can get to my new Ooe's lol)3 points

It's all about the fades lads.. while you're sat in your air conditioned office playing Candy Crush and sipping single origin, you ain't fading shit.. but once all the labourious jobs come back with their terrible working conditions your denimz will look fkin dope! .. you'll be dead by 50 but hey, you can't afford medical insurance anyhow so win-win.. 👖💪 🔥3 points

The LD1000 Vntg in the purple colourway is a thing of absolute beauty I look on them the same way i look at Levi's.. I love Levi's but i would never entertain buying a pair of modern 501s, i prefer to buy a JP repro. Yet i highly covet golden age Levis, it's the same shit with Nike.. these shoes are repros from a golden era when a pair of university students keen on distance running were trying to produce a better running shoe and much like Levi's became a victim of their own success..2 points

I dunno man, something about Samurai takes the cake for me. Always feels like quality when they are on.2 points

@beautiful_FrEaK I haven’t had that issue, no. I really feel like it fits me well all over, the crop is the only thing to take into account. But also, while I’m not a big guy my traps really are a bit are disproportionately developed (I used to a lot of kettlebell lifting primarily, lots of pulling work) - and the shoulders/chest have been the problem areas for me in some jackets that would otherwise be rightly sized.2 points

Was going to post on this but decided not to. Don’t know exactly what we’re trying to “liberate” from.2 points

Every new pair from Ooe is my new favorite pair of jeans ever, and this time is no exception. Sized up to 40 as my size 38s have been a bit tight, and it's the perfect fit. Like my WOMCON's but tightened up in all the right areas. Will be hard not wearing these during the contest, but these will probably be my main jeans overall the next 10+ years they're that good for me.2 points

My old, worn 1101s from 2017 and new (to me) one-wash 0106s (produced in 2018 but recently acquired). Both size 31 and 13.7oz denim. The 1101s have had 2 rounds of crotch repairs, the arcs have completely disintegrated and they’re now relegated to dog walking duties - note the short welly fades on the lower legs. They’re probably the slimmest fitting jeans I’ve worn in years. The 0106s aren’t seen that often, they’re supposed to be a wider cut than the 0105s but they seem pretty similar all round to me, other than the offset rear belt loop and perhaps wider back pockets. I have a pair of raw 0105XX too with arcs and tabs, so I’ll try to give them a proper comparison. The 0106s will need a little off the length.2 points

Out of all the Nike trainers around, those 70s/80s running shoes are by far the best, but like smoothsailor, for some reason it’s not a brand I’d ever buy. Last pair of Nike I bought for myself must have been 25-30 years ago!1 point

@ATWM since you also have the Ooe Type 2 jacket, do you also find the fit in the neck a bit strange? It rides up and gives the illusion I have enormous trapezius muscle (which I don't have...). Same with you? Not that the denim is very stiff but maybe it will improve with wear.1 point

My pair of cloth patched M41001's arrived this afternoon. They definitely seem rigid and deadstock from 1997 with the shrink-to-fit sticker still attached. There was no cardboard flasher though. Was there one at some point or did this model not have one? I was in a bit of a hurry, but I tried to snap a few detail shots for posterity's sake. I plan to shrink these when a get a chance (either this weekend or in a few weeks). Let me know if there are any others that you'd like me to snap beforehand or if there are any that you would like a more ca refully focused shot of. Photo resolution should be better if you click on the image. I have raw measurements as well and will post before and after fit photos and measurements once they're shrunk1 point

And here is my vintage Levis Vintage Clothing items, as lvc was the abbreviation used from late 2003 onwards. Top pair are First edition 1955 501XX from September 1996 and bottom pair are Nos 1920s 201's from 2000. This last pair are destined to be worn in the garden by me once my Csf 41's are trashed.1 point
