Hey all. Here are my Warehouse 1101, worn regularly for about 18 months I think. Gotta love how the Banner denim evolves. I began wearing them a little before my eldest son was born in 2017 and discovered a whole new world of knee fades upon his arrival 😌… Jumping forward a few years, I’ve started wearing them again recently so will aim to get better shots of them on here later down the line.20 points

Hey all. Here are my 710, worn regularly for at least two years. I bought them in 2016 when Hayashi-san did a meet and greet in Hong Kong but only starting wearing them around 2019 I think. Really loved these jeans - My all time favourite pair - and they held up well, only blowing out at the back pocket and knee eventually. They look more washed out IRL but you get the idea…17 points

We took our daughter out to the local wildflower center near our house yesterday, hard to believe she's already 3 months old. I've had a hard time documenting much lately, but I'm working on it! Before and after one of our pups got a (long overdue) haircut. Keeping watching during playtime. I've got a bunch of fancy sneakers but somehow I always end up back in these ones from Catchball. Seen a guy at one of our local coffee shops wearing some wide FH's and Paraboots.16 points

Sugar Canes Lot 1947... BNWT... for sale. Size 34. One-wash. Red tab and arcs These are c20 years old, based on OO's M-series guide (towards the bottom of page 1) I acquired them last year for £230 all in. Looking to recoup the same ideally... however shoot me a DM to discuss. Unworn. Reluctant sale. Reason - they are too small for me! Measurements - remember these are one-wash so they will stretch Waist 41cm - this will stretch by about 2cm Inside leg 85cm Front rise 31cm Back rise 42cm Thigh at crotch 33.5cm And a few pics of them out in the wilds of Sheffield...9 points

^^ The party is next week. No worries , I guess i just wanted something new. My wife bought a nice velours catsuit. That makes up for me showing up in jeans. My mother in law doesn't care. I thought i would be nice to buy something nice, being on a budget doesn't make it easy. @CSL gave a good tip. I like the stuff that Scott Fraser Simpson is making, wide pants and color full shirts. To late now to find something like that, next event. Yesterday was our 18th yr marriage anyversery9 points

Edit: 1947 601xx, 100 wears Edit: 1951 601xx, ~150 wears I didn't wear them for all of 2024, so they look pretty much the same; I was wearing the Dior Homme's. Now I'm wearing my Samurai Russia Edition until September 1. I've got a pair of Oni Ishikawadai's squirreled away for the Indigo Invitational. I should've joined the Word of Mouth contest. @shredwin_2068 points

I didnt care for vests but got one recently and now I'm annoyed when I dont have it on. my other clothes have such little functionality compared to it. I guess this is how I end up becoming those old asian uncles I grew up with and wondered why they always had vests on. I already found my cold tolerance has gotten worse so this all makes sense.6 points

@shredwin_206 Picked up the ‘47 506xx! I’d been meaning for a while to check out Brogue, which is around 40 minutes from me over in San Carlos. They’re closed on Sundays, which is my main running around day, so it didn’t seem like it was gonna happen organically. Finally made the time yesterday to drive over there and spend a while browsing, and it was a great setup. Decent selection of Freewheelers and also Timeworn Clothing, neither of which are ever available at any of the other shops around here. Overall a pretty cool vibe; it reminded me a lot of Standard & Strange 10ish years ago before they started focusing so heavily on artsier / more fashion forward brands. Seemed really well curated—certainly not everything there was for me personally, but everything that I saw did at least seem interesting and well thought-out, and the whole selection seemed cohesive and intentional, which is more at this point than I can say of Self Edge or Standard & Strange, as much as they both have going for them. I was mostly interested in trying out some At Last & Co., but nothing that they had in my size really spoke to me. Tried on the TVW 506xx just out of curiosity though, and I’m glad I did. I always figured if I bought a new TVW jacket I’d get it from Seiichiro, and I also always figured I’d take a size 44. Turns out the 44 was way too small (!), so it’s a really good thing I got to try one out in person. Ended up going with a 46 and it fits perfect. Pictures to come.5 points

Man, old messenger bags always look so cool. I've made a couple, but nothing I'm particularly happy with. Like there's something about the simple design I can't quite capture and make my own. Lately I've been making a couple of my cash and card wrap wallets. I'm sort of thinking about making some kind of store where I just put stuff to break even and can continue making whatever I want whenever. Not super hopeful about it working out, but I'm willing to try.5 points

I ended up winning the auction on the M41001s. They’re a bit more than I would have preferred to pay but there’s not too many ones with arcs in my size and that condition. I’m excited to see what they’re like once they arrive.4 points

For a fair contest, we should really all be tracking our wear on a quarter-hour basis4 points

I DM'd you on Instagram It's the natural result but I don't know if it's their intention I always took their over-sharing as a way of engaging with their customers without having to say anything. I've asked them questions about products before after they'd shared something I posted and they almost always just reply with a like or a thank you4 points

Most of them turned to rags and ended up either in the bin or given away.. the only pairs i saved are a pair of CSF-46s, Junky 46s and FW-47s. I only saved those because they're a bit special but pointless really.. they're too delicate to wear for any longer than a day or two. I've been wearing Carhartt carpenters for work these last few years.. £35 from the vintage shop, it's much cheaper than burning through £200 pairs of denimz every 6mths, albeit much less interesting4 points

A down vest is an essential piece of kit for me.. sure merino base layers keep you warm, I wear one myself but not so easy to wriggle out of when you’re all hot and sweaty whereas a down vest can be whipped off and packed down to the size of a tennis ball.. also easier to wear a waterproof shell over a vest than over a down jacket… but mainly I need one to see me through the winter at work, it leaves my arms denimclad yet free to move.. if my arms were wrapped in pertex/ down jacket, they would be fked in a matter of days.3 points

Moved here to avoid derail.. I can't remember the RRP.. It's one of the few EG pieces which blew me away. Every season EG would release a plethora of multi-pocketed utility vests, some with hoods, some without, no different from last seasons offerings, but the design of this pop-over was something i'd never seen before from any brand.. thin enough to be worn as a layer or fat enough to keep you warm.. alas back in 2011 i had umpteen down vests and just didn't need another one.. it also generated a bit of hype over on SF which put me off.. a few years later Mr R started the Engineered Garments thread over on Denimbro (i don't know if it still exists or not) he was into those floral 3 piece suits (which i hated) .. i posted in the thread.. "the only EG piece which has stood out for me in recent years was the flak type vest.. if one ever pops up on Yahoo, i'll probably grab it" .. i got a PM from a forum lurker saying "i've got one which i can let go" .. i just can't remember if i bought it or swapped it without looking at my DB PMs. Re- the price tag.. I think what happens within the Japanese rag-trade.. bricks n' mortar vintage stores acquire garments either from their buyers who're scouting individual pieces or trade-ins and such.. if you look at 2nd.. they're certainly not buying bails of clothing by the Kg, it's all carefully selected brands.. i think these 'middle-men' also have an ebay presence.. take the seller of the EG vest for instance.. click 'sellers other items' the background in all the photos are different.. some items are hung up behind changing room curtains.. i'm pretty sure that seller doesn't have any of these items to hand.. they'll all be for sale at vintage shops around Japan and if you scour the interwebz hard enough, often you can find the same item for sale in JP at a fraction of the cost it's listed for on ebay.. also you'll often see 4 or 5 different Japanese eBay sellers listing the same item of clothing.. some of them just slap a silly price on it.. because it doesn't matter if they sell it or not because they don't own it.. it's just a markup or commission they're working for which is what's happened with the £3000 EG vest.3 points
