Actually with a closer look, it does seem like the lighting is only in the deep parts. Plus, kind of a wrinkled bit on the end of one of them. They could very well be more of a sculpted or formed thing.

Got 3 hours of skiing in but the Droid was dead so it was back at the condo charging...plenty of shots on the big dog ill post when I get home.

Skip forward to the sunset.

Had a bunch of smoked cheese, salaami and crackers with mustard and wine of course...

Had home made chili for dinner...yum.

The boys resting until we hit the slopes again in the AM.

That about does it for tonight...might do some moonlight snowshoeing if the clouds hold off....have a good work week suckers!

Thanks! It took way too long (a solid hour) considering it is only a few feet tall, but in my defense I only used the pocket knife I had on me and had previously always been a snow-fort elitist.

Fantastic day to be out on the slopes today. Visibility was shitty but we got 6 inches of fresh powder! Hell yea. Riding some of the backside runs were pretty prime. Deep fresh powder, had some fun busting myself up a bit too. Good rueben for lunch, with a killer maple dijon and goat cheese salad...and pilsner, oh yea.

To the right of this pic is my favorite off-trail section. Big tree dotted bowl with a huge ass drop in, and a huge jump on the other side!
