RoyxCone, I, the gf and Brassy the Monkey went up to the market today, freakin' 35 degrees C in the shade again.

Had lunch at a small Chinese-Malaysian eatery:

Bought a scent bottle made of Australian she-oak...texture is amazing, and the tone changes as sunlight hits at different angles:

The leather stall must have changed location, couldn't find it today, oh well.

My jeans were being worn by my lower body, and so should everyone elses. They're not doing anything fucking special, alright.

End of thread.

Sounds boring...I need pics of said jeans on your lower body.

Oh...this must be delicious, mike :)

I miss Singapore's Hainanese chicken.

@relativity, nice leathers;)

Yeah Obbi, it was fantastic!

We're going back tomorrow...

On the subject of food, some late night snacking:

Honey is another thing that's good raw - lower GI and better flavour :)

I dont have any pictures, but my jeans and I enjoyed getting ass raped by the flawed teaching system of China today. Who ever heard of an microeconomics exam with all math problems and no theory? Me.

hainanese chicken rice looks good but the hor fun looks confusing! the one we have here in singapore is submerged in a gooey and sticky gravy, not a clear soup! i'll bet you like it though!

also, relativity has a stellar post! some very nice billykirk products up there!

thinfinn, milk and fruit loops is always full of win! making me hungry with basic and simple comfort food!

Is that so? I must try the hor fun at a Singaporean eatery to compare :)

In Taiwan we usually have our hor fun dry/fried, or sometimes with a clear broth of some kind.

Well, today my RxC and I went to the same eatery...

X-POST FROM ROY WT THREAK

another food post ya'll. Tonight, Indian food, or at least our home made take on Indian food. The wife and I had some of our good friends over for a little feast, we're going to start doing this every month or so, picking a different food style every time, and trying our hand at it. my wife (learned from her chef mother) is a fucking amazing cook, so we always eat well, and we love to explore cuisine at any opportunity, but we're getting to the point (ahem, age) where we feel like we can entertain some of our friends once and a while to a very nice dinner, some more informal like tonight, some sit down, dress up occasions. here we go.

Home made Naan...not as light and airy as I would have liked, but oh well, actually consistency wise it was more like pita bread, so a minor fail here, but made it from scratch so oh well!

Veggie Biryani rice, good shit.

Butter chicken....

5337766075_fbcc51d1a0_z.jpg

some chana masala and saag paneer.

5338378134_ed6211445f_z.jpg

Mango Lassi with a TON of rum....yes.

5338378562_f4bf9d413e_z.jpg

Vegetable Samosas, one done as a test, the others waiting for the fry...

5337767307_4955069c62_z.jpg

and there we go.

5337767667_7544ba23e6_z.jpg

choice wine of the night....one of our guests brought it, it was very young, and while I usually love wines from the Rhone Valley, this one was not too good.

My Plate, all the goodness.

5337768681_541cc3dccc_z.jpg
