there are 4 (dim) light sources and 2 open windows in my living room and I used a flash. aperture might be the way to go. my flat is just too dark.

Thanks dude! It's just J.Crew non-selvedge Utilty chambray. They don't make them anymore, but they might come back during spring like they did last year. Good shirt, and much cheaper than the selvedge versions. I do like the bright blue sheen of the selvedge versions better tho.
