they even didn't know about that problem with the S5000Ai-10SP. I wrote them some weeks about it, that 4 guys (all from the US) had problems with the stitching and ripping denim. They weren't aware of that. (was asking about it, to assure that the new AI will be superb, hopefully)

Would be cool if they address the problem. If it's Ai dyed and bamboo, may be my first pair of Samurai!

Yep, do it blm14, it's likely too late for this run but they need to see it. Bamboo and Ai are great ideas as was the weave but they need to keep together for more than a month!

Any Samurai jacket owners have sizing advice? It looks like I fit somewhere between a 40 and a 42. A 42 might fit well after a soak, but I've never heard numbers on jacket shrinkage.

yeah posted it some time agoo too. well that's definately not everyone's cup of tea. it's too extreme for my liking. I think he achieved it in one yer, right?

the denim seems to crack at many spots so I guess not more than 2 washes (maybe none)

but now we know again what's possible with the S5000VX24oz

Here's Toshiko-san's 0111XJ from the Samurai book. I think she still rocks it. I saw the jacket the last time I was in Japan. It was beyond sick.

just googled. found size 40 for the S0111XJ and the S0553XX...but that is most likely too small for you

yeah the S510XX21oz is a great pair. my pair is still very stiff and rigid. and they fade fast.

You're not kidding about them fading fast, they lose indigo at the slightest touch. Should be interesting because all the other jeans I have are of the stubborn variety.

DIdn't they use bamboo weft in the 5000-SP Ai dyed which wound up disintegrating within a short time?

still I think the two denims are quite different on the S5000AI-10SP and S001JP-H.

but I think only time will tell if the denim of the S001JP-H is stubborn

No, the weft was still cotton, but it was dyed with bamboo ink. And the denim breaking down wasn't the problem, it was the stitching.

^sorry I don't have those in my possession BUT you could check the Samurai thread on Hypebeast and read it from the beginning. IIRC they have a trend to size up and I'm sure there are some examples of sized up 710s. The look shouldn't be too different from a TTS S0500XX
