Out of all my jeans, my Lees are the ones that I think suit cuffs best, for what it's worth.

Dunno why I think that, although it might be summat to do with the way that cuffs seem, to me, to work better with fuller cuts of denim...

fit looks spot on. the thing is also that lee denim is softer anyhow , so i think you will not have problems with wearing a belt in the long run and get udes to it. nice too see some 55s. looks good without a cuff too. its just a matter of tast

^Yeah, the belt thing isn't an issue now that the denim is so soft. LHT is pretty neat, I must admit.

I accidentally purchased a pair of jeans on eBay the other day (again!), and as if by magic ended up with these 1948 (?) 101Zs, or 101-YZ as the label says. What's that all about?

Frustratingly, these are actually true to size and are therefore, as a 28, incapable of even covering my thighs properly...

The seller said 1948 but i thought 52 but I'm no expert on these things...and I was surprised to find them TTS. Obviously they'll stretch, but that's no use if I can't pull them over my arse

i just know of one 1940s 101z wich was the one from warehouse. but thy had a crotch rivet

Yeah, they're about 3 years old.

I've worn them on and off, mostly for working around the house.

They've recently become favourites.

Not caught up with the history of the 101 but is there a big different in fit with the different versions of it? Tried on Lee 101Z and 101B and both look+feel similar but maybe I missed a minor detail.

My experience: 101B tend to be a very straight rather loose fit, 101Z is slightly more tapered/fitted, especially the later ones.

Err, the inseam or the thigh? There's a thigh measurement in the thread, and though I'm not at home right now, I'm fairly sure the inseam is about 34 inches, I'd guess. Fairly standard length as far as Japanese denim goes.
