I'm thinking of buying a pair of thin finn dry stretch. My waist size is 27. Should I buy a 27 to maintain the slim fitting? or should I buy a size smaller? How much do nudies usually stretch?

Anyone has any experience on this?

Sizing down one will not be a problem as thin finns have 2% elastane. They also stretch about an inch or two over time.

Super quick question everyone!

I want to reinforce the crotch on my Skulls since I do alot of skating, just to help do a little bit of prevention of a blowout in the future, so is there anyway I can do this that would actually make a difference?

Thanks in advance! :)

You can sew a piece of denim on the inside to reinforce the crotch, like what they did for the SEXSC06 here:

I doubt it'll completely fall off, but you can always take it to a tailor/seamstress and ask them to put the stitches back, or to reinforce it a bit. This is why rivets were invented. :)

If i have Sam's i got from BIG, where or who can i ask for a red tab?

You'd have to remove all the stitching on that side of the pocket, which sounds like a hassle to me. I think I'd just leave them be personally. I guess if you really wanted a red tab, you could go buy an old pair of levi's at a junk shop.

whats the best way to get rid of combs on my jeans...i bought a used pair of NDG grey dry jeans and the prev owner is taller then me so now i have his combs on my calfs...theyre light though but look kinda iffy

how would i get them out or make them lighter w/o soaking or washing...?? unless thats the only way

What's so scary about washing? It's not the end of the world, I'm not sure what that stima is all about. First off - they have other people's dirt on them, gross. Second - good jeans have enough indigo/dye in them to last through many washes, so it's really no big deal. :)

Leave it be..they will take care of themselves...

Def. size 27....stretch denim stretches- but it's more elastic - so u should be allright

where do leg twists come from??

it looks pretty awkward on my current jeans and id prevent it from happening to new pairs if its possible

Embrace the leg twist...only then are you a real denimhead

What are the differences between the Dry Bones Red-D and the Skull 5010xx 6x6 and how are they in relation to Nudie Even Steven?

haha that sounds like an exam question but seriously, the measurements on the red-d and 6x6 seem pretty similar and all i have to compare with are a pair of even stevens that i have.

thanks!

Just got my size 28 APC rescues in the mail today and I'm concerned they might still be too big.

I originally got a 30, but send them back because they were loose before I even wore them.

I'm about a 32.5 true waist. The 28 are a little snug, but they button fine and aren't really uncomfortable, just almost perfect. Everything I read says that APCs will stretch like crazy. Should I return them again for a 27? Should they be just barely be able to button? If these fit just a little snug, should I go for a really super tight fit at first to account for a ton of stretch?

Any help?

Probably should just go with the New Standards in a 29 or 30 if Rescues are too loose.

The crotch stitching of my Fullcount 1108's is breaking. Four stitches are completely severed, as you can see: crotch%20rip.bmp

These are the first pair of raw jeans I've owned and I'm sort of disappointed to have paid $266 incl NYC tax and already have problems with it after only 3 months of ownership. I guess it's normal since the thread is all cotton. Anyway, should I wait to have the crotch repaired before I resume wearing my jeans?

Thanks for the help.

That's a bummer. I don't really like the New Standards because I think they're just too slim fit for my style. I guess I'll return them and use the credit for something else from the denim bar website.

Anyone have suggestions on a similar cut to the Rescue that is sold on Denim Bar online?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but looking for something that fits very similar to APC New Standards. Through my research I'm thinking Skull 5010xx's or Smaurai 710's might be good options.

Can anyone confirm?

Any other good options?

SDA-103 is similar too, as are Sam 0500's. None are identical of course.

Don't know where to turn with my fustration but does anyone else have this problem when you go to one of these "designer" clothing department stores and the sales rep looks at you like your crazy when you turn the jeans inside out to check the seems and if there are any hidden details and realize that hey these aren't any better then some run of the mill levis but cost 200 percent more? Maybe its just me, who knows? Thought I'd just ask. P.S. I'd get the seems fixed.

Hey

here's something different :) I am about to write my degree thesis and I really have a problem coming up with a topic. What I want to do is to write something about denim from the perspective of e-business which is my major. But I don't want it to be some boring shit about ebay or something. Can anyone of you guys come up with something real good? your help will be greatly appreciated!
