Little fading on my end with my 0105ph. Today was beautiful and I spent some time at Madison Square Park enjoying a cold brew from Gregory's Coffee, one of my favorites in the area.

It's been a while since I've posted, but finals and ceramics got in the way. I plan to complete the neighborhood tour challenge this weekend with my new camera (Nikon D5300!) that I got for my photography class, but all of that aside, here is a quick evo after a very busy two months and 1 wash and 1 soak:

I updated my DWC thread but ill update here as well.

Havent had much wear showing through and unfortunately I didnt document the break in period and i happen to live in a boring Detroit suberb so here we go!

I was lucky enough to pick up these FHxNFxTY jeans from another user in deadstock condition. Produced in 2011 and only 50 made and I somehow got a pair of my literal grail jeans. Flat head 3xxx is my favorite denim due to its extremely dark dipped indigo and the vibrant blue that pops out with enough love.

These have the tonal arcs as seen on the SE05BSP which is one of my favorite details.

Iron Tux IH634-XHS x IHSH-33 Black

Haven't been around here lately.

It took nearly a month to send my 634-XHS to Rail Car, have them hemmed and tapered, and sent back to me. I had 2-3 weeks of wear prior, and about a 4 weeks since. Hemmed to 34" inseam - which is very long for me, and 8" leg opening.

These are ready for their third wash. 1st was when new - I always wash new clothes before I wear them. 2nd was after a couple week of wear with some rounds of yard chores including mowing and fertilizing the lawn and a few days of wearing them under my waders when fly fishing.

IHSH-33 Black. About 2 months wear. 1 wash when new at this point. The dye in the shirt is much slower to fade than the jeans. This shirt is about as perfect for me as I could ask for.

And the whole ensemble.

Honestly, I'm not totally in love with the 634-XHS. The novelty of the 25oz denim is wearing thin as the weather gets warmer. When it's mid-60's and partly sunny, they're fine. But in direct sun I'm getting really hot. Hats off to all of you guys that did 2 years in this 25oz XHS denim for the previous comp.

There are also some small - but to me very important - details that are not quite right piss me off. As I've said before, I don't like that these do not have lined back pockets, selvedge fly, and belt loops sewn into the waist band.

The belt loops are not tall enough and I have a hard time getting my belt through - I wear Saddleback Leather 1.75" Old Bull belts. And since the belt loops are tall enough, I can't get the tag end of the belt back through the first loop, and I have to wear teh belt buckle off center.

The pocket openings are cut too tight and I can barely get my hand in them. If I do get something in them and want to get it out, I have to pry open the pocket with my other hand.

Jeans are the most utilitarian of clothing, and if simple functional detail are off, what's the point?

Saying all that, if I didn't like the jeans as much as I do, I wouldn't be wearing them and could care less that these details are off. I think the fit is really good, and I'm happy with the tapering Rail Car did (my only  comment is they don't have the same gauge thread, thread color, and didn't match the stitch count, so it's noticeable that the new inseam stitching doesn't match the stitching on the rest). They are too long and I may get them hemmed shorter as I usually don't wear cuffs, and even with cuffs they are a bit to long.

@cmboland - your pics are great, and the color of that Flathead 3xxx denim is gorgeous!

My Warehouse 1001 are the same way, can't wear my 1 5/8" wide belts with them (wear a 40mm from Hollows).  Not sure why some brands or models are going with a shorter loop. Had to replace the loops on my Warehouse Lee 101Z, because 1 1/2" was the widest belt I could wear with them.  If you've got extra denim, any US jean maker should be able to produce new loops for you. Norman Porter took care of my 101Z.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but haven't four or five guys in this thread had their jeans narrowed?  Kinda surprising seeing that many people needing to alter that jeans that significantly.

If I remember correctly, fanya the winner of last hwdc soaked them every 2-4 weeks so it shouldn't be impossible to still get some nice fades on your pair Max :)

On another note, I just received message from oldblue they now have the hardware and time to produce my 25oz. Can't wait to join and catch up with everyone

I'll post some picture updates probably next week.  I've been wearing these for over 70 days now.

I'm loving life in my Flat Head 2111s.  They're extremely comfortable, even though the weather here in Atlanta has been between 80-90 degrees on most days.  Doesn't hurt that it's very cold inside my programming class, but even when I'm outside for a bit I don't get any hotter than when I'm wearing 14 oz. jeans.  As I've said before, I think it really helps that these are a looser fit on me, a slim fit like my 3Sixteen ST-120x would be far more uncomfortable in this weather.  I love the 20 oz. FH denim and really like how it's developing so far.  These aren't dirty and don't smell at all so I should easily be able to make it until September without needing to wash, hopefully I'll have some nice contrast happening by then.

I have been taking a break from my IH666UHR due to a quite nasty wound that has appeared on the back of my knee. popliteal or fold of the knee or what it is called.

My father got some minor psoriasis and I got scared that it might have done it's debut on me. I am still red after two weeks of "rehab". I am rocking my IH666SII meanwhile.

Kind of regret selling my IH666UHR in size 34. The 33 are borderline to small around the knees.

Oh well. Time will tell. I don't give a f##k about my jeans compared to a sickness I have to live with for the rest of my life. Anyway I am hoping that it is nothing and that it will disadisappear in the near future and that I can continue to wear my uhr.

I just got scared.

Mega those boots look wicked nice.
