Should I ask the WHO about the risks of wearing heavy denim in hot climates? Or should we let natural selection determine the winner (if anybody at all survives)? It seems to puzzle some people after all...

Ill be ridling into work in my jeans seeing as at 6am it's still normally pretty chilly up here in Calgary. For the ride home at 3:30 they'll be in my bag though.

BEEF - I was climbing roofs in Calgary all summer in 23oz Strike Golds. Roll em up mid calf and you get nice sweat absorbtion with a little breeze across the ankles. Almost bearable?!? Stay away from Prince's Island, Eau Claire and the outlying regions and you should be fine. I'm lucky it is windy here 364 days of the year.

I've gone as heavy as heavy as Pace selvedge in the Middle East . Think that's prob 14oz? Being from the Midwest I'm looking forward to the challenge of going 17oz or better for this comp. No telling where Ill end up in the next 24 months! Hope the weather doesn't stop me as from getting the most out of my denim as well!

you guys are over thinking all this hot weather and denim. If it's to hot and you can't handle it, just don't wear them. Put on a pair of shorts, go about your day and then in the comfort of your nice and air condition home, plop them on.

For people who are afraid of facing real cold climate I have a simple suggestion of wearing several layers of pants and denim jackets. I'm doing this up to 3 layers with my denim jackets and pants if very cold:

haha. yall complain about the weather like as though it's as bad as what we have here in the equator. at least yall get to go through seasons. i'll be spending the whole two years in a place where its almost 35 degrees every day with a high humidity. :wacko2:

And somemore... planning to go back to my home town, Mandalay / Myanmar, in April, hottest month with minimum 40 / 42°C.
