Thanks Ray, no neg from me, we are of the same honourable profession. That courthouse looks spectacular. Believe it or not, nearly as good as the Employment Tribunal building in Liverpool.

Cool to hear BT. I don't know how many denimheads are in our profession, but I don't think it is very many. And believe it or not, that courthouse is only middle of the road for grandeur in PA. It's very surprising.

had some downtime to myself, what better way than to photograph some denim (lol)...lighting is a bit whitened out but what can you do, this denim is hard to get right...

had some good whiskering going but the multiple washes jumbled it up and drowned it out (which I don't mind)

you can't see it but that grainy blue in overcast light is addicting to look at

barely there combs

puckering and roping is one of Ooe's strong points IMO...

patch still holding up

all in all, very satisfied with where my pair is at for 5 months (or is it 6? lost track!)...I didn't start wearing them daily until late December but ever since my career change they've been stuck on me. with my frequent washing and the incredibly soft fabric itself, i won't be getting contrasty/highly whiskered jeans. I'm thinking they'll end up similar to our man here:

Really love the subtle color evolution of the denim coming through slowly but surely...

It's a very grey and overcast day out today, not the best for photos, as I'm wearing something else, will have to do.

6 month update:

The 03 cut is just too loose in the leg to get any decent combs forming.

A very small hole has appeared just below the now nearly invisible arcs.

I've treated the patch a few times to keep it supple.

Next to a new pair of Iron Heart BB Raws its easy to see the colour change.

I went to the National Aviary yesterday with my fiance. This is located in the North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh on the former site of the Western Penitentiarry. The Aviary is very nice, and the selection of birds you can see there is pretty amazing. I'm not really a bird guy, but a few of my favorites are below. With some new fit pics as well.

This was my personal favorite, the Sea Eagle. This thing is gigantic and amazing to see in person.

Hard to tell from the pic, but this owl is is only 3 to 4 inches in size.

With the exception of the birds of prey and some of the larger birds, you get to actaully be in the habitats with the birds. This guy had quite the attitude and basically did whatever he wanted.

Also, do not mess with this bird. He kicked the shit out of four much larger birds to keep this food bucket to himself.

The penguin feeding seemed to be quite popular.

Great pics Rayw44. I grew up in Seattle, where bald Eagles were fortunately kind of a common sight. Not sure if they still are or not. One of the most amazing things to witness is a bald eagle swoop onto the water and snag a fat ass salmon and fly off.

Also hit up this place today. They opened in 1915, but have changed ownership a few times. The newest ownership group is trying to do more avant garde hot dogs (if you can ever call a hot dog avant garde).

I had the banh mi dog, and was presently surprised. No pic of it, but it was quite good: hot dog, pork liver, pickled cucumber, pickled red onions, jalapeno, sweet chili and cilantro.

Currently going through the arduous and painful process of stretching these the 2-3" that I need after a trip though the machine. It's always a shock when I pull them out, the waist looks so damn tiny. This denim is something else.

I know what you mean, shrinks down so much with a wash but i usually do my stretching of the waist when theyre still wet...ill get about 2 inches afterwards
