are black new standards limited and hard to come by now or do they just get put out as muh as all other apc jeans??

if you're a size 25, 26, or 27 you should be able to buy it via context

i got a pair of the original (old) standards in 25, thinking they were vanity sized like new standards since i thought the only difference was the higher rise. to my disliking, they actually are true to size. i know they'll stretch the jeans tend to stretch about 3" but i don't know about 4.5" or so. maybe i'll just have to give them away to a lady :T

Are they made in Tunisia? APC denim from that era is, to my experience, indeed not vanity sized and does not stretch that much either. I have a pair of (original) standards and two pairs of the old English cut in 34 that fit me perfectly, where for the Rescues and the black NS I went for 31.

^ NC has the skinniest leg, but the hem is wider than PS due to a slight flare at the ankle.

Yeah they have the NC in now and im waiting for the PS to come in... After hearing so much on here about them and seeing some peoples fades Im wanting to put them through hell as soon as i can.

Thanks for the quick response guys... im might wait for the PS as i like a skinnier ankle but ill try them both on when i have them both there to compare.

Just thought i would get your opinions as I have only ever seen one person wearing them.

Fit pic as of 10/2/2009.

New Cures in size 29. Started wearing them on 6/21/09 but due to summer heat I wasn't wearing them every day. I'd say there's a good month and a half of wear on them.

Buy them so they fit. Not so you can't do the buttons up. Just so they are snug. Size down one maybe two at the most.

Personally I buy them when you can't button up the last button, and takes effort for the second to last button. Some people get them without being able to button the top two, but that takes a lot of patience.

thanks guys... i think ill get them so they are pretty damn snug but still being able to just do the top button up... I think i will be getting the 28 and thats the lowest i think my local stocks them anyway.

now all i need to do is wait for them to get their shipment.

I really don't have an ass at all. Pretty unfortunate.

I sized down just one, so not SUPER tight but they were pretty uncomfortable for the first month or so.

More or less. I have them a little lower on my hips that some would suggest (IE: my roommate told me I should pull them up a little). As far as the whiskers go, I'm already seeing some fade lines in the denim so hopefully they'll be there.

i bought my new cures a while back, but i bought true to size and now they're way too big. gonna hot soak, but any feedback on how much NC's will shrink, if at all?

if you can manage, try wearing a belt and not buttoning the top button. My NS sz 30 still measure 32.25" after a year of wear. I always wear a belt and the fact the button isn't buttoned is never obvious because I never tuck in my shirt.

couldn't get the top three buttons closed my first day or to of wear on these New Cure 27s i got a while back. i had a 28 before that, but i could button those up all the way & there as far too much room in the waist without wear. tried on multiple pairs of 28s, too.

i think the 27 to 28 jump is a strange one.

just go with your judgment, people. these jeans are just jeans & they really aren't super expensive.

Are the black New Standards jeans any good compare to the indigo one?? and does anyone have the photos of it (sorry if im too lazy too search) hehee...

And for the sizing, I think Im goin to downsize by 3" from my true waist; do you think it will fit great??

lol i wish i didn't size down from 31-32ish to 29... the hem is pretty narrow to go with most of my shoes and as a result the stacks look funny when i wear them with shoes lol... its also kinda uncomfortable in my waist overall and before someone tells me that they stretch, i've worn em fairly hard for 7-8 months before I gave up on them and started only wearing them occasionally

Don't worry. My black NS don't say 'new standard' on the tag either (as opposed to my indigo NS). Black NS don't have a selvage line. Mine must be legit, I got them from the APC website.

lol..I think I jeans are not laid down properly so the lap is kinda distorted
