pilot - the thigh is nearly unchanged!

but, keep in mind i was wearing them the whole weekend with extensive biking and partying. the waist stretched quite a lot too in these few days!

my FH f310's I've been wearing since the beginning of April. I can't wear them to work but I wear them hard every day before work, after work, and... well, pretty much whenever I'm not there. 1 quick soak (wore them in the shower) about a month ago and I was hoping to wait until Oct for the first wash but they are starting to be in need of some repairs.

main area's of concern:

I always have a hard time convincing myself to wash since I want to try to get as much wear as possible so I'll leave it to SuFu, wash now and get them repaired or rock em for another month and hope they dont fall apart?

why not just get them repaired and continue wearing without washing? what have you been doing in those?! f310 supposed to hold up pretty nicely

idk, I hike, bike, camp, party, ride a motorcyle every day which is probably why the crotch is coming apart on me. They still feel very structually sound, I'm just hoping the second round of stitches hold up.

yes I did. I was bored at work and did it with a tack and my teeth.

however, I would strongly suggest picking up a seam ripper.

Oh yeah, and also I thought that the 310s had the new cotton/poly stitching that was supposed to be more durable. Looks like they are beat up pretty badly judging from your pics. What do you have to say about that?

all I can really say is if they were nudies they would probably be rags by now. The Flat Head is the real deal, I've never babied these things and they have taken some good beatings and I've only made it through the first layer of stitches.

suboptimal and squiggled - yes. girlish - no. but, on the other hand i would prefer no back-pocket stitching anyways.

if you do not like them - get the seam ripper!

could anybody comment on the different characteristics of 1XXX and 3XXX TFH denim?

i read somewhere that e.g. the heavier denim usually shrinks less ... or am i mistaken?

It's just my opinion... and girlie might have been the wrong word, just a little busy for what I'd prefer on the back pockets of my jeans.

What's the general opinion on durability of F310s compared to Imperial Dukes? I treat my jeans like crap sometimes and wear them right after surfing and while I work on cars so I'd rather not worry about them breaking.

I have both dukes and 310's and I'd say they are fairly comperable in terms of construction. I prefer the denim of the FH's, especially after they start fading but overall they are both great jeans (although the cut of the dukes doesn't work nearly as well for me as the 310's)

could anyone pls post pre- and post-wash measurements of a 3005, and if possible 1005?

or comment on the characteristics of 1xxx vs. 3xxx denim in terms of shrinkage after a hot wash and stretch through wear?

I did a 3 hour lukewarm soak, changing the water every hour. Really doubt these are finished shrinking. I'm about 5'9. Disregard my extremely dry elbows
