@blooming Hello, I’m considering buying the 711 (to enjoy Hayashi’s signature). I already have the 714, which I really like, but I’m drawn to the wider leg opening of the 711. I see that you have this pair of jeans in W32 L32. I’m hesitant to order an L32, but I’m worried that the inseam will shrink significantly after multiple washes. Would you have the inseam measurement of your 711 after several washes? Thank you.

Hey @CharlieMike! My pair of 711 in 32x32 has been hot washed and put through the dryer, and didn't really shrink noticeably (maybe 1-2cm) from the original inseam length which was around 80cm~

I sold my 710s a couple years back as I found they were too slim for my taste but I really loved the denim fabric. Are there any other jeans out there at a similar price point that have a fabric like the 710s in a relaxed straight or regular straight fit? Should I be looking for a 66 type fabric? They are 14oz but Resolute seem pretty secretive of where the cotton comes from saying that cut and colour is more important so finding hard to know what to look for in other brands

@PrettyBoyTony I think Resolute doesn't talk about where their cotton is from because they really don't know, and Hayashi has claimed in an interview that it's really hard to exactly know the source and to be honest he probably doesn't care all that much. I've tried some 66 cuts and Resolute are the slimmest so I think you'll be fine with most other options.

@NilsLW Have you tried Sugarcane 66 by any chance? The measurements seem much wider (bigger) but wondering if the denim is similar to 710

@PrettyBoyTony Yes I've had a pair for a few years now and they are probably my favorite jeans, much more roomy and overall a more balanced fit than the 710 imo. The denim is not very similar to Resolute, less fluffy when new and doesn't fade into the same sky-blue color as the 710. Has a bit of a green cast reminiscent of older Levi's from the early 60s and 50s. The Sugar Cane 66 feels like a repro of an older jean than the Resolute 710.

@blooming Thank you for your advice. I just ordered the 711 to enjoy Hayashi’s signature style. I love the 714, but I like the wider leg opening of the 711. I hope the back rise won’t be too low. I’ve tried quite a few jeans over the years, and Resolute’s denim is truly incredible—I think it’s my favorite.

@CharlieMike No problem! I personally find the back rise on the 711 a bit too low, but I may need to go with a size up in those to be honest.

Hello, for this pair of jeans, I kept track of the number of washes (I always washed my 714 right side out, buttoned up, and never used a dryer). If it helps, here are my notes on the number of washes and the number of times worn (in the photos, it’s after the 8th wash):

Before the 1st wash: 60 days
Before the 2nd wash: 19 days
Before the 3rd wash: 14 days
Before the 4th wash: 25 days
Before the 5th wash: 17 days
Before the 6th wash: 19 days
Before the 7th wash: 8 days
Before the 8th wash: 14 days
Before the 9th wash: 10 days (03/05/2025
