I've just received my Rakers this morning; and I thought I want to share with you guys... This pair of jeans is the by far the best quality denim that I ever have, the detail is just magnificent... thanks Ande for making these jeans for us..

btw, this is Sanforized rakers, size up by 1"... How's my fit in the jeans?? (sorry for shitty phone's camera)

Nope, I think since I size-up by 1", it fits too big on my waist, so that's why it looks like im sagging them...

I'll use belts in the future though, any recommendations for belt that looks like ALD but not as expensive as ALD?? hehee...

Why don't you just return them for a size that actually fits? Fit is more important than brand/quality. I'd rather wear fitting Nudies than oversize Ande Whall.

Its because I didnt buy it straight from the man himself..

Ive bought this from a sufu member; condition is brand new, and it saves me bout $70 bucks, so I think its a good deal for me.. hehee..

Btw, after seeing this jeans, there is no way Im goin back to wear my fugly Nudie, guess Im goin to sell it.. hehee...

Anyway I like the fit of my rakers though, not too skinny but not too baggy, just need some belt to make it a good combination..

Cougars are pretty similar, if not almost the same fit as skulls 5507xx...

measurements are pretty much the same as well...

I received my Black Rakers on Monday and I'm speechless.

My first pair of raw denim I ever owned was a pair of Ande Whalls, all the way back to v3 before he was even using selvage, and they were the best jeans I'd ever owned up until that point. I bought another pair a year later, and was even more impressed to see the new materials and new detailing Ande had incorporated into his product.

Now, a little over a year after that I hold in my hands Ande's best product yet. The list of details on the website, or any amount of reading cannot prepare you for the awesomeness. This shit has selvage belt loops, okay?? Thank you Ande for making such an awesome product!

I'll post up some fit pics once these things chill out a bit. I've been sick since I got these so I haven't even tried them on until today. The black raw jap denim is really rigid so it'll take a few days of wear to get everything falling properly.

I got my black grifters in a 28 and I love them

I want cougars next, thinking of getting them in 28 STF

Good or bad idea?? because my grifters are a tad looser in my lower thigh and ass (pretty much the whole top block or maybe I am just too thin but the waist feels really good)

Anyone know what a sized down pair of cougars would look like?

how do grifters and slackers compare to dukes, looking mainly for comparisons of the top block as dukes are pretty tight up top.

I wear a size 33 in dukes, the waist itself was not a problem..but it was right under the waist..the hip area in the dukes are super tight....are the grifter/slackers the same story (also size 33, or should I size up to a 34?)

grifters and slacker are going to be tighter on the knee and the hem. Slackers are very similar to grifters just more of a slouch fit. They are tight on the thigh but I would say go true to size unless your getting STF then size up one or two.

but 1 thing that I found strange bou the rakers, is that the fit on my thigh is too tight however the leg opening is not really tapered. Do Rakers usually fits like this or its just my retarded legs??

The jeans fit you very nicely.

With regards to the taper...from the information on Ande's site, the taper is very slight. And this taper effect may be lessened by the pull of the chain stitch at the hem.
